Northbrook School District 28 seeks an enthusiastic and energetic, child-centered Principal for our school to work collaboratively with approximately 370 students, faculty, staff and parents. The individual should have an understanding of the needs of the whole child.

Job Summary:

The individual will work with students, staff and families to help each child perform at his/her highest level.

Qualifications:

• Illinois Type 75 Certificate Illinois 
• Experience in administration at the elementary level preferred

Classroom Assistant positions will be available for grades 3 and 5. There is one 3rd grade position open immediately and two 5th grade positions open in January of 2010.

Classroom assistants' responsibilities include:

• Providing small group and individual instruction to students as directed and supervised by the classroom teacher
• Clerical duties including grading papers, photo copying, etc.
• Playground, recess and/or lunchroom duty
• Opportunities to substitue teach with proper certifications (including substitue certificate)
• Other duties as assigned
