Description:
Tioga Elementary School is comprised of students in grades PreK-2. The Speech/Language Pathologist
will be responsible for the evaluation, interpretation and reporting of results, and participation in special
education decisions for students with speech impairments. The Speech/Language Pathologist also is
responsible for developing and implementing Individual Educational Plans for students who are speech
impaired. Adherence to local and state policies and procedures, as well as to State and Federal laws
and regulations are required.
Salary:
This is for a maternity leave starting in early November and lasting for approximately 12 weeks.
$200 day
Qualifications:
- Type 73 with Speech Language Pathology endorsement
- Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License OR
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA and a license from another state and application for Illinois Licensure OR
- Temporary Illinois Speech Language Pathologist license and completion of an approved program
- Hold a Master's or Doctoral Degree earned through completion of a program that has been accredited by ASHA for Speech Language Pathology
- Either (i) has completed a program of study before July 1, 2002 that includes course work and supervised clinical experience sufficient in breadth and depth to demonstrate knowledge and skills related to the specific problems, methods and procedures applicable to students with disabilities in a school setting serving ages 3 through 21 or (ii) meets the content area standards for speech-language pathologists adopted by the State Board of Education, in consultation with the State Teachers Certification Board.
