CNA Saturday Clinical On-Site Supervisors

Qualifications include:

• Valid IL RN License 
• Qualify for IDPH approval for clinical supervision

Assigments will be pre-arranged at various long-term care facilities in DuPage County with which the Technology Center of DuPage has clinical site agreements.

Clinical on-site supervisors are required to undergo a fingerprint based background check and provide proof of a negative TB test administered within 90 days of first assignment.

Rate: $265.48 per diem

Substitute Teachers
for all Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs at the
Technology Center of DuPage
 
Requirements:
 
Current Illinois State Board of Education Substitute Certificate, or
an early childhood, elementary, high school or standard special certificate that is current and registered in DuPage County.
  OR
If you have a Bachelor Degree or higher and can be available on an as needed basis between 7:45 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, we can assist you with obtaining a Substitute Teacher certificate. Cosmetology Substitute Teachers
for the Technology Center of DuPage
 
Requirements: 
 
Cosmetology work experience as follows: 

(verified by original letter on company letterhead that applicant must bring if called for an interview)  
           

Either 8000 hours of work experience as a licensed cosmetologist and commitment to take 3 college credit hours per school year; 
          OR            

2000 hours of work experience as a cosmetologist and 60 college credit hours (verified with original transcript)

OR 
            2000 hours and a Bachelor Degree  or higher (verified with original transcript);

 AND 
Valid cosmetology teaching license.

Teacher Assistant

Assigned to Fire Science

and Emergency First Aid Provider

Performance Responsibilities as a teacher assistant:  Specific duties and responsibilities of teacher assistants will vary depending upon program assignment, and will be under the supervision and direction of the teacher in charge.  In performing instructional duties, the aide shall assist the teacher in:

• supervising and/or maintaining program facilities and supplies
• supervising students while in the program area
• taking student attendance 
• monitoring student conduct, and use of materials/equipment 
• administering evaluative instruments (tests) 
• determining the students' grades and 
•  other duties as assigned by the teacher in charge within the scope of an aide's permissible duties as specified by the School Code, Section 10-22.34

Teacher assistant qualifications:  (minimum)

•  certifiable as a teacher assistant;
•  one year of work experience in the assignment-related capacity
•  interest and desire in working with youth in an educational environment and
•  suitable level of maturity, resourcefulness, and interpersonal/communicative skills

Duties as an Emergency First Aid Provider (EFAP): 

• Provide appropriate health and nursing assistance to TCD and DAOES students, staff, and visitor
• Maintain necessary records and files pertinent to the emergency care provider office in conjunction with the DAOES Business Office
• Preparation and submission of monthly emergency care provider report to the Principal
• Serve as a member of the Safety Committee
• Provide health, safety, and nursing instructional resources to the TCD staff
• Serve as a resource to administration in health and safety issues

Qualifications for an EFAP:  Certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED; RN, LPN, EMT, Paramedic or CNA license preferred.
