Description: Full-time Maintenance Mechanic (days-40 hours/week)
Qualifications: High school graduate; valid Illinois Drivers License; EPA Technician Certification preferred; stationary Engineer's License preferred.
Job Summary:
1. Troubleshoot and repair R-12, R-22, and R-502 A/C and refrigeration systems.
2. Maintain accurate records as required by EPA-CFC regulations.
3. Maintain, troubleshoot and repair low pressure hot water boilers and hot water heaters.
4. Maintain, troubleshoot and repair high pressure vessels such as compressed air systems.
5. Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair 460V (3 phase), 208V (3 phase), 277V and 1 iSV circuits in conformity with electrical code.
6. Maintain and repair food service equipment and bathroom fixtures, including rodding of sewers.
7. Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment.
8. Design and fabricate sheet metal.
9. Operate, troubleshoot and repair vehicles and equipment.
10. Secure facility and activate/deactivate alarm system as directed.
11. Operate and troubleshoot fire alarm equipment.
12. Respond to off-hour and emergency situations.
13. Must be able to work from 6:00a.m. - 2:30 p.m. with periodic early morning hours removing snow.
14. Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Working Conditions: Excellent working conditions in career & technical education school, terrific benefit package. Salary range: $45,673-$68,140, depending on qualifications and experience.
