Choosing and Changing Your Districts Sub Solutions permits substitutes to choose UP TO 3 districts to work in at the time you are hired. Choosing your districts is an important part of the onboarding process. Your expectation for how often you want to work, and proper selection of districts are closely tied. Speak with a Sub Manager if you have questions about the districts you are selecting. When first hired we ask that substitutes keep their chosen districts for at least 30 days before requesting to change or add districts. If you are choosing districts that have high substitute fill rates you will likely need to be willing to pick up last minute or night before assignments. During a school year Sub Solutions allows substitutes to request district changes up to two times in a year. Exceptions are made when there is a request from a district. Sub Managers can provide you with a list of districts that have lower than average fill rates that will provide you with increased opportunity to work consistently. Sub Solutions staff updates district change requests are not immediate. Updates to districts are made on the Friday of the week that they are received unless there is a request from the school district.
