TRS UPDATE REQUIREMENTS
Employees must update their personal information with TRS. You may update your information by the following ways:
1. If you have a
MyTRS
User ID and password

you may
log in
to update your address.
2. To update your address, you must complete and mail to TRS a
Change of Address Notification Form (TRS 358) (pdf)
.
For name changes, TRS requires notification in writing when you change your name. There is no TRS form for submitting a name change.
1. The written notice must contain both your Social Security number and your signature.
2. You must also include a copy of a court order or marriage license that authorizes your name change.
3. If you are working for a TRS-covered employer when your name changes, you must officially change your name in your employer's records to ensure that your employer's records and TRS records match.
SBEC UPDATE REQUIREMENTS - FOR CERTIFIED EDUCATORS
In accordance with the Texas Administrative Code §230.431 (c) An applicant for or holder of an educator's certificate shall provide SBEC a current United States mailing address. A certificate applicant or holder shall notify SBEC of a change of address within 45 calendar days of the effective date of such change. An educator may update their address and phone number by logging into their Educator Profile on the SBEC website at:

Completion of this form authorizes the Human Resources Department to make the requested changes.
