Thank you for your interest in working for the Rye Recreation Department. Currently we are fully staffed but you are more than welcome to submit and application in the event a current employee is unable to work or camp numbers increase.

Rye Recreation is looking for talented, fun, hard-working teens and adults for a gratifying experience working at one of our four summer day camp programs. If that is you, please view our open positions and select only to those which you are currently interested in.

When applying for a positions please read below and make sure you meet the minimum qualifications:

• Junior Counselor/Counselor in Training: must be entering 9th or 10th grade in fall 2010 and be younger than 16 years of age on July 6, 2010. All those that are applying for our Junior Counselors positions have until March 31st to submit application. We will not be accepting any more applications after that point.
• Camp Counselor: must be at least 16 years of age by July 6, 2010.
• Head Counselor: must be going into their senior year of High School or College age with previous experience.
• Attendance at all orientations are mandatory: Tuesday, June 15 from 6 - 9 pm and Tuesday and Wednesday , June 29 & 30 from 9 - 3 p.m.
• Available for 6-weeks of camp: July 6 - August 13.
