ESS was established in 2000 with the vision of enhancing the educational experience for students by staffing a variety of talented substitute personnel in school districts, including teachers, school aides, and other support staff. Each day, ESS fills more than 6,500 school vacancies for more than 250 clients serving one million students.
Who is a ESS Substitute Employee?
A ESS substitute employee is someone who is hired with the understanding that their association with our partnering school district(s) will be on a substitute basis, as needed, because of the absence of a district employee. Substitute employees are paid at an hourly or per diem rate, determined by the position and qualifications.
