Speech and Language Pathologist for grades K -12 We are seeking Speech Language Pathologist. This is a full time position. SMAC is an inter-district agency providing special education services to children from preschool through grade 12, throughout the state of Maine. We are part of a state-wide initiative fostering collaboration between districts to fill special service provider shortages, achieving efficiencies for schools and cost-savings for taxpayers. Our team of SLP’s, Psychologists, Special Educators, and Behavioral Health Professionals serve Maine's young learners in districts from Kittery to Madawaska.
Brief Job Duties: The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas: 1. Assessing children's communication skills for the purpose of identifying communication disorders, determining program eligibility and developing recommendations for treatment. 2. Collaborating with a variety of groups and/or individuals for the purpose of communicating information, resolving issues and providing services in compliance with established guidelines. 3. Developing and implementing treatment plans, interventions and/or educational materials for the purpose of minimizing the adverse impact of communication disorders in compliance with regulatory requirements. Certification/License:
1. Valid Speech Pathologist license as issued by the Maine State Board of Examiners on Speech Pathology and Audiology.

Operations & Maintenance
· Coordinate staffing, assignments, and daily operations for building maintenance, groundskeeping, and facility management across multiple school sites.
· Supervise facility management staff, including maintenance technicians, custodians, grounds crew, and administrative personnel.
· Recruit, train, and evaluate facility department employees
· Foster a culture of customer service, accountability, and continuous improvement
· Coordinate with school administrators to address site-specific facility needs
· Monitor compliance with a preventive maintenance program to extend the life of buildings, systems, and equipment.
· Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
· Coordinate emergency response procedures and business continuity planning for facility-related incidents.
Project Management
· Oversee in-house staff maintenance staff projects from conception through completion, and assist with outside contracted projects.
· Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
· Review and approve plans, specifications, and change orders
Compliance & Safety
· Ensure all facilities meet health, safety, and accessibility requirements (ADA, OSHA, EPA)
· Manage asbestos, lead paint and water, and other environmental compliance programs
