The Beach Park Middle School Principal provides strong instructional leadership and creates a positive and supportive learning environment for all students, particularly those in the crucial middle grades. The Instructional Coach position at Beach Park Middle School is established with the primary purpose of providing dedicated support to teachers in the implementation of effective instructional practices. This role is crucial for ensuring the high academic achievement of all students within Beach Park School District 3. This position is designed to significantly increase both individual and collective teacher capacity, fostering a culture of leadership for change and continuous improvement.
The Instructional Coach will strive to develop a vibrant community of learners who are reflective decision-makers, capable of identifying, cultivating, and strengthening new instructional approaches to create a superior educational program. This will be achieved by developing mutually productive and trusting relationships with all staff. The ultimate goal of this non-evaluative role is to enhance instructional expertise by working directly with teachers rather than students, thereby directly impacting student learning outcomes.
The Instructional Coach will perform, but not be limited to, the following duties:
Instructional Support & Collaboration: Consult and collaborate with teachers on a regular basis regarding curriculum, instruction, assessment, and evidence-based strategies, ensuring alignment with Illinois Learning Standards and district goals.
Facilitating Change: Exhibit patience, empathy, and perseverance to effectively support colleagues through the change process and the adoption of new pedagogical methodologies.

Certification: Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate endorsements (e.g., Elementary Education, Secondary Education, Special Education).

Job Summary: The Special Education Bilingual Teacher (Spanish) is responsible for providing specialized instruction to students with disabilities who require additional support in both their academic and language development. Job Goals:
Order, rack and heat, and serve meals in district cafeterias with a positive attitude and a cheerful smile. One to two years of computer experience is necessary.
Order food from distributor.
Check daily deliveries for accuracy and call distributors’ Customer Service Department to report errors.
Prepare and serve lunches to students and some staff.
Keep track of and report how many lunches are sold by category (Free, reduced, full price and staff). Make sure to accurately record on daily and monthly sheets.
Turn in reports at end of each month to the Food Service Coordinator within three days. Delivery receipts from distributors like milk and bread companies are turned in at the end of each week.
Keep kitchen area clean at all times. No storage of food on the floors or under sinks. Inform Food Service Coordinator for any supplies needed. Clean ovens, racks, milk coolers and refrigerators daily and/or weekly.
Abide by all health department and Standard of Operations rules. Take any required testing for ongoing trainings in a timely manner.
Maintain a cheerful attitude. You set the example as an adult for these students. Students relate to positive attitudes quicker than negative attitudes.
Demonstrate computer knowledge and skills required to perform food service duties.
