Job Summary:
 
The Special Education Inclusion/Collaborative Co-Teacher (ICR) works collaboratively with a general education teacher to provide specialized and differentiated instruction to students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in a general education setting. The focus of this role is to ensure all students, particularly those with disabilities, access the general curriculum, achieve high levels of learning, and benefit from the educational experience in an inclusive environment.
 

Key Responsibilities:
 
• Instructional Collaboration and Delivery:
  • Co-plan and co-teach engaging, rigorous, and objective-driven lessons using a variety of co-teaching models and strategies.
  • Differentiate and modify lessons, instruction, activities, and assessments to accommodate the diverse learning styles and specific needs of all students, including those with IEPs.
  • Provide direct specialized instruction and support to students with IEPs within the inclusion setting.
     
• IEP and Compliance Management:
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor student progress toward academic and behavioral goals, and collect data to inform instruction and interventions.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation.
     
• Behavioral and Socio-Emotional Support:
  • Implement effective student behavior strategies and model positive behaviors.
  • Employ techniques such as positive reinforcement and behavior modification to teach socially acceptable behavior.
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to students who are struggling academically or socially.
  • Assist with the implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
     
• Professional and Communication:
  • Work collaboratively with the co-teacher, grade-level teams, related service providers, and support staff.
  • Build a partnership with families, encouraging their active participation and communicating regularly about their child's progress and behavior.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and staff committees as required.
 

Qualifications and Requirements
 
• Valid NJ Certification as a Special Education Teacher, 2475 - Teacher of Disabilities.
• Experience working with diverse students and implementing IEPs in an inclusive setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of special education principles, methods, and applicable federal and state laws.
• Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction and utilize data analysis to guide action plans.

Senior Mechanic Diesel - Transportation Department
 

DEFINITION: Under direction, performs varied mechanical work involved in the maintenance and repair of motor vehicles and mechanized equipment containing diesel engines; works with various machines, testing equipment, and hand tools common to the trade; takes the lead over and gives assignments to mechanics of lower grade; does other related duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS:  
TRAINING: Successful completion of one (1) year of training in diesel engine repair at an accredited community college or vocational school.
 
EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of diesel engines.
 
 
NOTE:  Applicants who do not possess the required year of formal training may substitute one (1) additional year of experience as outlined above.  

NOTE: Possession of a certificate as a diesel mechanic issued by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence may be substituted for one (1) year of formal training.

LICENSE
 Appointees will be required to possess a valid New Jersey driver's license.
 Appointees may be required to possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and applicable endorsements for the  class and type of vehicle being operated.
