The duties of the Assistant Athletic Trainer include, but are not limited to, prevention of athletic injuries, recognition, evaluation, and immediate care of athletic injuries, rehabilitation and reconditioning of athletic injuries, health care administration, and professional development and responsibilities as specified in the Domains of the NATA (National Athletic Trainers' Association) Certified Athletic Trainer.
Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:
The Media Production Specialist will assist the Director of Communications in creating a wide variety of multimedia and communications materials for the district, including video, photography, graphic design, and print. In addition, in cooperation with Career and Technical Programs, the Media Production Specialist will work alongside the Broadcasting Teacher to assist in classroom instruction when necessary and the production of school-related extracurricular events, including but not limited to, athletic events.

Teach medical profession-related courses to grades 10-12, which may include instructing in the CNA program
Develop and administer curriculum consistent with school district goals and objectives
Promote a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning
Develop lesson plans and instructional materials and translate lesson plans into learning experiences so as to best utilize the available time for instruction
Conduct ongoing assessments of student learning
Modify instructional methods to fit individual student's needs, including students with special needs
Conduct individual and small group instruction as needed
Instruct students in the principles of responsible citizenship and other subject matters specified in applicable laws, as well as administrative regulations and procedures of the Cabot School District
Continue to acquire professional knowledge and learn of current developments in the educational field by attending seminars, workshops or professional meetings, or by conducting research
Organize and maintain a system for accurate and complete record-keeping, grading, and reporting for all student activities, achievement and attendance as required by district procedures and applicable laws
Provide feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.
Encourage parental involvement in students' education and ensure effective communication with students and parents
Ensure that student conduct conforms with the school's standards and school district policies
Establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom
Coordinate with other professional staff members to evaluate and assess curriculum, and participates in faculty meetings and committees
Select and requisition appropriate books, instructional aids and other supplies and equipment and maintains inventory records
Supervise students in activities that take place out of the classroom during the school day, including activities involving school transportation
Administer standardized tests in accordance with district testing programs
Assist with HOSA and SkillsUSA student organizations and assist students as they complete all levels
Adhere to all policies of the District and the Code of Ethics for Arkansas Educators
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators, as designated by the Superintendent
Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy, as well as differentiates instruction based upon student learning styles
Knowledge of data analysis and information
Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students
Ability to use computer network system and software applications as needed
Ability to organize and coordinate work

Required 2 years of medical or health-related experience
Preferred candidates will be a registered nurse in Arkansas and in good standing with a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience and a minimum of 1 year of long-term care
Must be willing to become a qualified teacher in the State of Arkansas or already hold an educator license
Successful completion of all background checks

Assists a certified teacher in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of students in a classroom environment; assists in the preparation of instructional materials and implementation of lesson plans; and provides routine support. Performs all duties under the direct supervision of a certified teacher.
