Pond Cove Elementary School seeks 4 (.3) FTE Educational Technicians to support our lunch and recess periods for two hours each day, approximately 11:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Successful candidates will: Hold a minimum of Educational Technician I certification or be eligible to receive such certification through the Maine Department of Education. (Educational Technician I certification preferred.) Demonstrate the ability to interact well with and effectively supervise K-4 students while consistently maintaining a positive approach to student discipline and support. Demonstrate the ability to work with a team of adults in order to best meet the needs of children and keep them safe and organized during recess and lunch. Demonstrate strong and effective problem solving skills, and contribute to the ongoing improvement and change process of making lunch and recess an extension of the classroom - an opportunity for learning through play and socialization. Demonstrate flexibility in responding to changes of schedule, is responsive to and seeks feedback about job performance, and is committed to the overall vision and work of the Pond Cove school. Salary: Salary and benefits determined per negotiated Cape Elizabeth Education Association bargaining agreement.
