NATURE OF WORK
Under direction of the city clerk, the deputy city clerk is responsible for supplying excellent customer service, vital records, documents, and information for residents, City staff, and the surrounding communities. This role will act as back up to the city clerk and may require filling in at city council or other meetings, as needed, during regular working hours with the possibility of some extended or after hours scheduling.
The deputy city clerk is a limited-term position that will end in May 2029, with the possibility of renewal subject to the election of a new city clerk.

General Task Statement:
Under the direction of the Program Supervisor/Coordinator, the Pre-Team and Compulsory Team Coach is responsible for providing a safe and developmentally appropriate pre-team and USAG Level 2 and 3 program. The Pre-Team and Compulsory Team Coach will be responsible for assisting in planning and facilitating progressive, safe, and developmentally appropriate lesson plans. Failure to plan or facilitate lesson plans that are progressive, safe, and developmentally appropriate may place children and staff at risk. The Pre-Team and Compulsory Team Coach will be respectful of children, parents, and co-workers to ensure that equipment and facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained. They will be responsible for planning lessons that do not conflict with the recreational gymnastics classes' instruction or equipment needs. NATURE OF WORK: Under the direction of the Deputy Director for the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department, this position provides a specialized alternative and first response to mental health and social needs that traditionally would be received by law enforcement. Response includes de-escalation, conflict resolution, mediation, and motivational interviewing that is compassionate and trauma informed. Team members support an overall effort to deliver specialized and compassionate services tailored to meet the needs of people with mental health conditions, substance abuse disorders, co-occurring disorders, those who are unhoused and those with unmet social needs who interface with the City's emergency response system. This is a professional position requiring performance of a variety of technical assignments including: GIS editing, map requests, database management, construction-related field testing, permitting, and general IT support for the water production bureau.

Nature of Work:This is a professional, technical, and managerial position within the bureau of capital planning & engineering. Work involves directing the city's traffic engineering & operations, transportation, and right-of-way permit activities as well as supervising staff, contractors, and additional collaborative or cross departmental teams. This role will perform professional engineering work in planning, developing, programming, designing for the city. It will also lead efforts in designing and implementing transportation/traffic engineering plans and capital improvement projects in compliance with city, state, federal regulations. In addition, the role will review private development plans, assist in preparation of capital improvement budget, and assist in programming of projects for the city council.
Reviews developments, private projects affecting the public right-of-way, coordinates with the project team and internal/external stakeholders, evaluates traffic and multimodal impacts, and provides recommendations regarding access, circulation, and mitigation measures.
Prepares Requests for Proposals, Qualifications, and Bid documents for capital improvement projects, and recommends contract approval to the City Council. Manages contract negotiation and administration of consultants retained for infrastructure improvement or planning purposes. As Project Manager on these projects, holds and conducts community engagement public meetings and surveys to receive feedback. Oversees construction contracts.

This is semi-skilled work; performing maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment and facilities, related to the water treatment plant. Work may involve, at times, serving as lead worker on a crew maintaining and repairing water treatment plant machinery, equipment, and facilities. Employees may be assigned tasks of a similar or higher-level classification to gain experience and training in preparation for advancement. Safety equipment such as hardhat, safety glasses, reflective vest, gloves, steel-toed shoes, respirator, self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and other protective equipment is worn.
