Job Description: The EL/Bilingual Resource Teacher shall provide instruction to help potentially English proficient (PEP) students develop cognitive, academic, and language abilities in Spanish and English. The teacher will provide pull-out and push-in services to small groups of students ranging from K-8.
Primary responsibilities:
Identify and assess the academic level, language proficiency level, cultural history, and linguistic history of students who are eligible for bilingual services
Provide bilingual instruction to small groups of students in grades K-8 using a collaborative TBE model (pull-out or push-in services based on student need)
Collaborate with the EL Department to ensure best practices through service delivery
Make recommendations as to the best placement within the Transitional Bilingual Program (full-time or part-time)

Prior experience in a similar role (such as crossing guard, security, or traffic control) is a plus but not required.

This part-time position plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety of students, staff, and families during school dismissal by serving as a traffic director and/or crossing guard. The position is ideal for individuals who are dedicated to school safety and enjoy working outdoors.
Direct traffic to ensure a smooth and safe flow of vehicles during student dismissal.
Assist students and families in safely crossing streets and navigating school grounds.
Follow and enforce school traffic safety policies and procedures.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to maintain a safe environment.
Report any safety concerns, traffic violations, or incidents to school administration.
Remain vigilant and attentive to ensure student and pedestrian safety at all times.
WORKING CONDITIONS:

FULL-TIME BENEFITS
Salary Range: $52,000 – $72,000+ annually. Placement within the range is determined by relevant education, professional experience, and applicable certifications
