The registered nurse provides direct nursing services to students and staff members to maximize health and wellness in the school community. All duties are performed in accordance with district/state board of education policies and procedures and state law regarding nurse practice.
A. Nursing Care
1. Promotes and protects the optimal health status of children. 2. Provides direct professional nursing services, first aid, illness and emergency care to students and staff in response to the nursing assessment and in accordance with professional standards, school policy and procedures, and state and local mandates. 3. Assists Certified School Nurse in obtaining a health and developmental history. 4. Performs mandated screening procedures for vision and hearing (requires state credentials as a screener) and evaluates findings and refers deficits in vision, hearing, and growth, etc. 5. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering an individualized health
care plan and assisting with the delivery of an individualized educational plan if applicable. The use of adaptive equipment may be necessary such as wheelchairs (manual, electric), Hoyer lift, specialized walkers or chairs, respiratory devices, communication devices, feeding devices, and others depending on student needs. The job may require lifting for therapies and toileting. Exposure to blood and body fluids is possible. The individual must be able to learn the necessary adaptive equipment and institute use of said equipment; learn any therapies as designed by the special education team and implement appropriately; and meet the physical care taking responsibilities in the health plan.

REPORTS TO: Principal, TOSA and/or designeePOSITION OVERVIEW:The Student Services Assistant (SSA) plays a critical role in supporting students with diverse learning needs in both general education and special education settings under the direction of certified staff. SSAs assist students in achieving academic, functional, and behavioral success through reinforcement of instructional strategies, classroom support, and general supervision.
While physical management is not a required responsibility of this role, SSAs must be comfortable working with students who may have emotional and behavioral challenges and must be able to implement de-escalation strategies as part of a team approach. Additionally, being an SSA does not preclude an individual from being part of the school's crisis response team; those who choose to join the crisis team may utilize CPI strategies and physical management techniques as needed, though this is not required or compensated separately.
SSAs may assist with adaptive skills (such as mobility support, toileting, feeding, and medical needs) for students who are not in the BEST or STRIVE programs. Additionally, SSAs, particularly in the early childhood (ELC) and early elementary settings, may often be required and expected to assist with bathrooming and personal hygiene skills as part of students' developmental learning and self-care routines.
SSAs placed at the high school level and Barrington Transition Program (BTP) can also serve as job coaches, supporting students in learning, developing, and maintaining job-related skills for workplace readiness and transition activities. These SSAs will help students:

POSITION OVERVIEW:The Intensive Support Assistant (ISA) provides specialized support to students with moderate to severe disabilities, complex medical needs, and significant behavioral challenges within the BEST (Building Essential Skills Together) and STRIVE (Structured Teaching Reinforced in a Visual Environment) programs.
This role requires high-level training and readiness to assist with adaptive physical, medical, and behavioral needs, including personal care, feeding, toileting, medical delegation, behavioral intervention, and crisis prevention. ISAs must be CPI-trained and comfortable engaging in physical management as needed to ensure the safety of students and staff.
ISAs play a critical role in implementing individualized student plans, collecting behavioral data, and supporting structured learning environments that promote student independence and success.

TITLE: Sumer District Technology Temporary Support
REPORTS TO: Technology Support Supervisor
PURPOSE OF JOB: This position provides technology support for end users through troubleshooting and problem-solving. This position serves as a first point of contact for technical support issues and is responsible for creating and managing support request tickets. Primary responsibilities include on-site support, remote support, and answering help desk phone calls.
PHYSICAL CONTEXT OF THE JOB: Driving among district schools is required. An ability to work extended hours (on call) may sometimes be needed. This position requires the ability to lift and move equipment up to 40 pounds. Climbing, lifting, bending, and reaching are routine activities of the position. Driving between district buildings is required. The use of hand tools is required. The position could include prolonged periods of sitting, walking, and/or standing. This position is evaluated by the Technology Support Supervisor with input from the Director of Technology Services.
