Multiple part-time, up to eight (8) hours per day, Event Staff positions are available. These positions will be primarily on the weekends and the current starting rate is $13.30 per hour.
The job entails setting up and tearing down, as well as providing clean sanitary conditions, for various events that occur on Cumberland Valley School District's main campus. The essential functions of this position require the employee to be adaptable and flexible enough to adjust to changing conditions; willingness to cooperate and work as part of a team; ability to be a self-starter and self-motivating; able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, and comprehend same; able to use ordinary arithmetic including decimals and fractions; practices good safety awareness and procedures; helps to maintain clean safe, physical environment; helps to maintain the minimal records needed to fulfill school and regulatory requirements; recognizes and respects co-workers’ staffs’ and students’ rights.
High School Diploma or equivalent is required and previous custodial experience is preferred. Ability to work on the weekends is required.

This position is a full time, 191day, professional staff position + five contracted flexible summer days, and part of the CVEA collective bargaining agreement. This position is responsible for the proper operation of all mechanical systems. The applicant will perform maintenance trade activity to maintain District property in good repair, and must be able to perform as crew leader when assigned tasks or projects that requires team efforts. The applicant must demonstrate the ability to perform one or more of the following trades: General, Electrical, Carpentry, HVAC, and Grounds. CV is seeking to fill multiple event parking/security assignments. These assignments are scheduled on a monthly basis as needed for district events.
Duties include performing tasks related to traffic and parking control, monitoring large gatherings for suspicious activity, performing general security tasks to include possible de-escalation and emergency response.
CPR/AED Certification Preferred; MOAB Training provided within 6 months.

The candidate should be well versed in speech and language assessments, specific interventions that can be implemented both in individual and group therapy, familiarity with the evaluation, re-evaluation and IEP process, billing, and assistive technology for students with unique speech disorders.
