    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:  The Research and Assessment Programmer/Analyst will develop information systems, develop and manage all databases for the Department of Research and Evaluation, produce informational and analytical reports and presentations from these databases and other sources, and oversee the production of all central adminstration testing and surveying materials.

    • SQL Server programming proficiency and preferred SQL Data Warehouse management experience.
    • Extensive Tableau development experience, preferably within an education context.
    • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
    • Superior organization/project management skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical clients.
    • Experience collaborating between information technology and institutional research.
    Provide departmental assistance with the following:
    1. Develop, implement, and enforce procedures and security standards for software access and modification that will ensure integrity of testing programs and data.
    2. Design, build, and manage all research office database systems.
    3. Identify and/or develop, and oversee the implementation of, information systems and new software programs to produce customized informational reports to deliver evaluation-related information to administrators and faculty in a timely fashion.
    4. Develop rigorous research methodologies, analyze data using advanced statistical methodologies, produce technical analytical reports with graphs and narrative interpretations, and conduct presentations of the findings and implications.
    5. Provide technical assistance and statistical analysis services to staff members in areas of test development, data analysis, program assessment and evaluation.
    6. Identify, evaluate, and plan research projects, in collaboration with administrators and staff.
    7. Develop and implement district-wide and school-based accountability procedures and processes, in   collaboration with the Director.
    8. Conduct and process district survey research studies and routine student surveys.
    9. Train staff and administrators to use test and other report information to improve student learning.
    10. Perform other tasks assigned by the Director of Research and Evaluation.

    • Funded to December, 2017, extension pending of grant award.
