POSITION SUMMARY Assists the Director of Special Education in the development and implementation of curriculum and instruction. Supervises and evaluates the delivery of instruction in compliance with Board goals, district and building policies and procedures for the purpose of advancing student performance.
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE - KNOWLEDGE:
? Illinois Public Educator License (PEL) with Administrative or Principal Endorsement
? Director of Special Education preferred
? Master Degree in related field
? Certified in IL to evaluate teachers
? Experience working with high school or transition-aged students (18-22 years of age)
? Strong interpersonal and communication skills
? Ability to interact with employees with empathy and compassion
? Strong leadership skills
? Ability to interact collaboratively within the school community
? Strong management and problem-solving skills
? Ability to communicate and interact effectively with a variety of audiences

Job Title: Director of Professional Learning
Calendar Work Days: 205 Days
Supervisor: Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment
Status: Exempt - Administration
Salary: $110,000 - $115,000 annually
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment, the Director of Professional Learning coordinates and supports districtwide professional learning initiatives related to instructional technology, instructional strategies, equity, and social-emotional learning (SEL). The position also oversees the planning and implementation of professional learning opportunities and related processes, including New Educator Institute, early-release days, District Improvement Days, and other district initiatives. The Director collaborates with principals, the Assistant Superintendent of Student Services, and other district leaders to support districtwide and school-based improvement efforts.
Qualifications:
Leave of Absence position lasting approximately 16 weeks from 9/28-1/18/27.

Hinsdale District 86 is looking for a 1.0 Business Long Term Sub at Hinsdale Central High School from 8/31/26-10/9/26. The ideal candidate possesses strong content knowledge and the willingness and ability to teach students at differing academic levels across the discipline. This position is within the Business Department and will teach Marketing, Business Law 1, and Business Management.
This position is posted in June, and interviews will begin in late June/early July.

Candidates must have a valid Illinois Professional Educators License with a business teaching endorsement.
Hinsdale District 86 is looking for a 1.0 Special Education (Foundations) Long Term Sub at Hinsdale Central High School from 8/10/26-11/6/26. The ideal candidate possesses strong content knowledge and the willingness and ability to teach students at differing academic levels across the discipline. This position is within the Special Education Department and will teach Foundations of English, Community-Based Instruction, and Strategies 9/10.
Candidates must have a valid Illinois Professional Educators License with and LBS1 endorsement.
Hinsdale District 86 is looking for a 1.0 Social Work Long Term Sub at Hinsdale Central High School from 8/10/26-9/18/26. The ideal candidate possesses strong content knowledge and the willingness and ability to work with a variety of students on their case load. This position is within the Guidance Department and will have its own caseload of students.
Candidates must have a valid Illinois Professional Educator License with a Social Work endorsement.
This is a .5 FTE long term substitute position from 8/10-10/30/26
