  •   EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); minimum 6 months office experience preferred.  Bilingual preferred.  School District office experience a plus.
     
    SUMMARY:  Provides part-time office and clerical support to the Early Learning Program.  Works closely with the Directors of Student Services and Bilingual Services, and the Early Learning team.  Must be comfortable interacting with diverse populations including non-English speaking families.
     
    PRIMARY DUTIES:
    Provide clerical and e-mail support to the Early Learning Program and related support services.
    Answer and make phone contacts with parents.
    Maintain Early Learning event calendar.
    Provide direct information about the education and support services the program offers to parents and children.
    Assist with preparing and mailing invitations and other correspondence.
    Coordinate and track information sent to the parents.
    Assist in coordinating and scheduling parent and community events.
    Support Family Resource Coordinator in preparing for screening events.
    Maintain inventory of supplies and materials for program activities.
    Maintain student files; ensure confidentiality of information.
    Maintain accurate records on a quarterly and yearly basis as necessary for state grant forms.
    Prepare and process required purchase orders and track expenditures.
    Assist with data entry of Early Learning grant information in IWAS.
    Maintain accurate student data for Illinois State Board of Education IWAS/SIS/Grant reporting.
    Requires some travel to schools.
    Other duties as assigned.


    This is a part-time, non-union, 12 month position.  Includes IMRF and paid sick and personal days. 
    Average 20 hours per week during regular school year; some summer hours required, M-Th only.
    Salary:  $15.00 per hour
