2017-18 School Year Office Support Specialist Historic Old Central High School - Special Services 32 Hours per week/44 Weeks per year This temporary position will end on June 22, 2018 This position will work for Special Services at Historic Old Central High School.
Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent and one year of previous experience in general office support. Knowledge Requirements: District policies, regulations, procedures and processes Applicable state and federal rules, regulations, policies and procedures Customer service principles and practices Modern office methods, practices and procedures Basic personal computer operations and various software applications Basic record keeping and filing methods and practices Skill Requirements: Providing effective customer service to staff, students and the general public Organizing and prioritizing work Communications, both orally and in writing Maintaining confidentiality with sensitive information, issues and situations Operating various office equipment Additional Information: This position will work Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 3:00 pm and Friday 8:00 am to 2:30 pm Sample of the tasks performed in this unit include but not limited to: working within Infinite Campus; IFAS, Adobe document creation and working with Special Education forms. This position is being posted for internal and external candidates. To qualify for an interview, you will be invited to take and pass the Office Support Specialist grammar/word processing and Excel spreadsheet test.
Duluth Public Schools is seeking qualified candidates for Substitute School Bus Helpers for the 2017-18 School Year. The Bus Helper position assists with physically and mentally disabled children on and off buses; attends to their specific needs, such as secures children for purposes of safety; maintains a safe and controlled environment during the ride to and from school, as well as for field trips. Communicates any problems to the bus driver, teachers, and other appropriate staff. We provide training. $9.50 per hour
Duluth Public Schools is seeking qualified candidates for School Bus Driver Substitute positions for the 2017-18 School Year.
Must possess a valid Minnesota driver's license. Ability to obtain unrestricted CDL license with passenger and school bus endorsement.
Must be able to pass a drug test and criminal history background check.
Will pay and provide training to obtain CDL license. $15.02 per hour

Duluth Public Schools needs qualified individuals to fill in for non-licensed non-teaching positions. We have hundreds of substituting opportunities every month. Non-Licensed (non-teaching) positions include food service helper, custodian, clerical, special ed paraprofessional, supervisory paraprofessional, instructional paraprofessional, and LPN/RN.
Wages range from $9.50 per hour to $20.00 per hour depending on the substitute position. Some positions required licenses and some don't.
