Position Summary
: Glen Crest Middle School is seeking a girls' 8th grade basketball coach for the 2025-2026 school year. The Basketball Coach is responsible for recruiting within the school, training, and coaching the members of the Glen Crest Middle School Basketball program.
Essential Responsibilities:
Assist in coordination of the development and promotion of the Basketball program.
Assess the athlete's skills and give appropriate feedback.
Work with the Principal and Other Authority Figures to organize and schedule practice sessions and game times
Teach life skills and develop character with regards to the game of Basketball.
Effectively communicate with the Athletic Director, parents, athletes, and administrators.
Administrative tasks include ensuring all eligibility documents are completed and submitted.
Hold parent/guardians meetings and meetings with all athletes. Must follow established procedures in the event of an athlete’s injury.

Minimum Qualifications:

Job Summary:
Our FACTS teacher is responsible for creating lesson plans and instructing students on life skills such as nutrition, food preparation, financial literacy, sewing, child development and much more. The curriculum will blend hands-on activities along with formal educational techniques to help prepare students for adulthood.
Qualifications:
One must hold an Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a valid FACS endorsement or Career and Technical Education (CTE) certificate.
Salary and Benefits:
Our certified staff are placed on the teacher's salary schedule commensurate with experience and education, where a BA 1 begins at $56,162.00.
In addition to a competitive salary our certified staff enjoy 12 sick days and 4 personal days each year, Board paid dental for the individual and 90% Board paid HMO/PPO insurance for the employee, and 80% Board paid for Family.

Service Determination:
The Director of Student Services will coordinate the Homebound Instruction services. Under the direction of the Building Principal, the Homebound Instruction Teacher will provide an instructional program in the home, or another agreed upon location, when there is evidence that a student will be out of school for a period of two weeks or longer due to a medical condition certified by a physician's statement. For special education students, services shall be provided in accordance with the student’s IEP. The Homebound Instruction program is to be a continuation of the student's regular school program. The Principal is responsible to see that the District instructional program is being implemented.
Responsibilities:
The Homebound Instruction Teacher will cooperate with the Building Principal of the school and the student's regular teacher in the following ways:
1. Books, instructional materials, lesson plans, quizzes and tests, will be supplied by the student's classroom teacher(s).
2. The Homebound Instruction Teacher will communicate at regular intervals with the regular class teacher regarding student progress.
3. The services of the Homebound Instruction Teacher will be coordinated through the Director of Student Services. The Homebound Instruction Teacher will have the following responsibilities:
A. Keep an accurate record of time spent with each student.
B. Provide a weekly evaluation of student progress, including material covered.
C. Report any major concerns regarding the health status and/or cooperation of the student to the Building Principal.
D. Inform the Building Principal and the Director of Student Services of any changes of schedule in homebound instruction services.
4. The Homebound Instruction Teacher will submit to the Director of Student Services a weekly report of activities and a weekly timesheet.

Identify, create, and implement social work IEP goals and services.
Provide individual and group social work services.

Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of effective behavioral intervention strategies and assisting the development and monitoring of behavioral intervention plans.
Work collaboratively and serve as a liaison between school, families, and community resources
Ability to evaluate building needs and develop responsive programs
Understand and practice in accordance with local, state, and federal laws, statutes, and policies that relate to students and families.
Maintain materials and accurate case records and documentation.
Participation in the 504 development, placement, and evaluation process. Complete initial and re-evaluation of case studies that include interviews with students, parents, and teachers.
Participate in the bldg. MTSS Team regarding tiered SEL support and interventions.
Prepare and appropriately file district and state reports in a timely manner as required.

: This is a Substitute position for the Building Nurse. The Lead Technology Support staff member will help mentor and teach the District's technology staff by maintaining systems, peripherals, applications, and network infrastructure.
