Job Summary Under the direction of supervisor, performs general cleaning and maintenance in school buildings and grounds, maintains equipment in functional condition, and provides cleaning and custodial assistance to students, staff, teachers, administrators, visitors, and others, as necessary. May help with building security by locking/unlocking doors when requested and do final lock-up of building at night including turning on security systems. Assigned work week and shift may vary. Attendance, physical presence, and timeliness are required and are essential functions of this position. This position is required to work sixteen (16) hours during the district's winter break and receives sixteen (16) hours of additional paid time off that must be used before July 31 of the subsequent calendar year. The specific hours worked are coordinated with the school administration and other contract custodians to ensure coverage of the building throughout the break. Essential Functions
