DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Install, configure, troubleshoot, and repair audio-visual systems at 30+ sites
Projectors and screens
Sound systems (amplifiers, microphones, speakers, mixing boards)
Stage lighting (lights, control consoles, mixing boards)
School cameras and video distribution systems (eg. daily announcement video shows)
Televisions and cable TV
Perform as-needed temporary AV installations, setups, and de-installations
Transport AV equipment using division-owned vehicles
Research AV hardware specifications, compatibilities, and pricing in order to make purchasing recommendations
Coordinate and oversee the AV work of third-party contractors at sites as needed
Assist with the installation and troubleshooting of Promethean interactive displays
Assist with network wiring and troubleshooting
Proactively plan hardware life-cycles for replacements and upgrades
Find inefficiencies in processes and systems and design corrective solutions
Collaborate with other staff to design and implement solutions to specific problems
Perform other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Professional work experience with commercial-level AV installation, operation, maintenance, and repair
Professional work experience with power tools, including saws, drills, and other hand tools
Professional work experience with ethernet wiring, hardware, and systems
Ability to select and use industry-standard safe and proper installation methods, hardware, and tools for a variety of wall and ceiling materials
Ability to troubleshoot and repair systems quickly and efficiently
Ability to learn new systems quickly and efficiently
Ability to communicate clearly and positively, both verbally and in writing
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple daily tasks
Ability to collaborate positively with other staff, both technical and non-technical
Ability to use a variety of computing form factors and platforms
Ability to operate a computer in an office environment daily
Ability to safely lift up to 70 pounds
Ability to safely climb 6-12’ ladders for installation purposes
Ability to safely drive a transport van

It is the goal of HCS’ School Psychological Services department to provide a School Psychologist Intern with a wide-ranging, practical, and professionally satisfying experience. Students applying for the School Psychologist Internship position in HCS will be expected, under supervision, to perform the following duties and responsibilities:
Administer and analyze results of psycho-educational measures (i.e. cognitive, behavioral, social-emotional, adaptive, academic achievement tests, etc.) and prepare written reports in a timely manner.
Convey psycho-educational results to parents and school-based staff, in both written and oral form.
Serve on Child Find, eligibility, and crisis intervention teams.
Consult with teachers, school administration, and parents about students’ needs and performance.
Conduct group or individual counseling based upon time, availability, and interest.
Participate on RTI, SEL, 504, or IEP teams as time, availability, and interest allow.
Perform other related work as required or assigned.
Have appropriate knowledge of psycho-educational testing, child development, and counseling/consultation, as well as skills commensurate with level of experience.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to work with students from a wide range of demographic and socio-economic backgrounds.
Ability to develop effective collaborative working relationships with students, parents, teachers, and staff.
Ability and desire to work toward a level of independence consistent with experience and level of mastery.
Responsible for assessing reading levels, identifying difficulties, collaborating with classrooms teachers, facilitating intervention, and conducting remediation either in resource or co-teaching environments.
