Hutchinson Public Schools has an opening for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work in our Park Elementary building (grades 2-5).
Hours (on student days when school is in session):
Position Purpose: The building nurse provides practical nursing expertise to support educational progress of all students by minimizing or removing health-related barriers to learning, while promoting a safe environment for all students and staff. Duties are to be performed in accordance with standards of professional nurse practice, district/state board of education policies and procedures and Minnesota State law regarding nurse practice.
Duties include: medication administration, triage for illness and injury, assisting with annual health screenings, immunization review, maintaining student records, monitoring for communicable diseases and managing students with chronic health conditions and special education needs as well as other duties assigned by supervisor.
