Establish clear standards of excellence for athletic performance, sportsmanship, faith formation, and personal conduct.
Build and sustain a positive, disciplined, and inclusive team culture that reflects the Ignatian principles of respect, reflection, and service.

II. Program Management & Operations
Oversee and coordinate all administrative and operational aspects of the football program, including scheduling, budgeting, travel, facilities, and equipment.
Collaborate closely with the Athletic Director, Medical Training Staff, and Strength & Conditioning Staff to ensure player health, safety, and performance optimization.
Maintain compliance with OHSAA regulations, school policies, and departmental procedures.

Ensure that program logistics — including practice schedules, transportation, meals, and locker room operations — are well-organized and efficient.
III. Coaching & Strategy Development
Serve as head coach for the varsity football team, overseeing game preparation, tactical strategy, and game management.
Lead the design and implementation of comprehensive practice plans and off-season training regimens.
Utilize video analysis, scouting, and performance data to inform game strategy and player development.
Model effective teaching and communication, fostering player understanding of both football concepts and team values.
Continually evaluate the program to identify areas for competitive and cultural improvement.
IV. Staff Leadership & Development
Recruit, hire, and supervise all members of the football coaching staff at every level of the program.
Establish clear expectations, accountability structures, and performance evaluations for all coaches.
Promote professional growth among staff through mentorship, clinics, and continuing education.
Foster a collaborative environment characterized by trust, respect, and shared commitment to the school’s mission.

Design player development programs emphasizing leadership, discipline, teamwork, and resilience.
Maintain strong communication with families, guidance counselors, and teachers to support student success in academics and formation.
Collaborate with the Medical Training Staff to ensure all athletes receive appropriate care, rehabilitation, and injury prevention support.
Work with the Strength & Conditioning Staff to integrate training protocols that promote health, performance, and safety.
VI. Recruiting & Community Engagement
Serve as the primary ambassador for Saint Ignatius Football to prospective students, families, and youth programs.
Develop and sustain relationships with area middle schools, CYO programs, and youth football organizations to identify and attract mission-fit student-athletes.
Collaborate with the Admissions Department to support outreach and recruitment strategies that align with school enrollment goals and all applicable rules.
Engage alumni, parents, and local partners to build community support for the football program.
Represent Saint Ignatius High School at school functions, alumni events, Jesuit Network activities, and media opportunities as requested.
