Responsibilities: * Provides research-based specialized instruction to address the instructional goals and objectives contained within each student's IEP. * Assesses student progress and determines the need for additional reinforcement or adjustments to instructional techniques. * Employs various teaching techniques, methods and principles of learning to enable students to meet their IEP goals in the area of physical education. * Develops and implements annual Individualized Educational Program (IEP) plans for students to include: present levels of educational performance, special education needs, instructional goals and objectives, and the special education and related services required to meet those goals. * Participates in IEP meetings. * Conducts special education evaluations and reevaluations as it relates to physical education. Qualifications: * Minimum B.A/B.S degree in teaching from and accredited institution in the appropriate special education area. * Current Minnesota teaching license in applicable area. * Current Drivers license and vehicle to travel from building to building * Thorough knowledge of the principles, practices and procedures of special education and specialty area. * Thorough knowledge of the principles and methodology of effective teaching of students with disabilities. * Thorough knowledge of school division rules, regulations and procedures; ability to establish and maintain standards of behavior.

The summer session is designed to offer enrichment in reading, writing and math. This year's session consists of four weeks, two in June and two in early August. Invited students are in grades 6-8 for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. Boeckman Middle School will host students from both Boeckman and Dodge Middle Schools. DATES: June 16-20 (3 days only, No School on June 19) June 23-26 August 4-7 August 11-14. 8am-12pm each day Teachers receive 4 hours of prep leading up to the start of the program in June. Teachers receive an additional 10 minutes for each 60 minutes of instructional time. The overall number of teaching staff will be dependent on the final enrollment of the program.
