Summary: The associate principal works as part of an administrative and leadership team to improve outcomes for all students while closing achievement, opportunity, and participation gaps. A key area of work includes being the 9th Grade administrator, leading the Building Assets Reducing Risks (BARR) program. Additionally, the associate principal provides leadership and support to various departments, collaborative teams, programs, and individual teachers. Primary Responsibilities as Part of the Administrative Team:

Job Summary:
The primary focus of the Lifeguard position will be to monitor aquatic activity and ensure a safe environment at School District 197 Aquatic Center. Lifeguards will oversee multiple swim activities including but not limited to swim lessons, open swim events, water exercise programs, lap swimming and various rental activities throughout the calendar year.
Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:
Monitor swimmers in the pool to ensure their personal safety and compliance with all district standards of health and safety. Maintain strict enforcement of pool rules in a polite and courteous manner.
Inspect the facility on a daily basis and report unsafe conditions, cleanliness concerns, equipment and maintenance issues to supervisor and/or head lifeguard so that a safe and healthy environment is maintained.
Know, understand, and consistently communicate policies and guidelines for the pool to participants.
Ensures swimmers are aware of potentially dangerous swim areas and activities.
Maintain constant surveillance of the pool, know/review all emergency procedures and respond to emergency situations immediately.
Ability to recognize and respond calmly and effectively in hazardous/dangerous situations.
Perform first aid when necessary and complete appropriate incident/accident reports. Demonstrated ability to recognize swimmers in need of assistance/distress. Demonstrated ability to recognize, respond and remedy unsafe situations.
Ability to communicate and work with all ages and levels of swimmers. Interact regularly with supervisors, staff, volunteers, and participants.
Participate in regular in-service training sessions.

POSITION SUMMARY: The District Maintenance position performs a variety of tasks involving the general maintenance and repair of school buildings, premises, and varied equipment. Effective immediately the Human Resources Department will accept on-line applications for a School Age Care Program Support Paraprofessionals Float. This position will start immediately. Salary range is $16.89-$18.59 per hour according to the 2023-2025 salary schedule for district paraprofessionals. Employees also qualify for a stipend provided by the Great Start Compensation Support Payment Program through the Department of Human Services. Stipends are based on the number of hours childcare staff work directly with children.

Participate and successfully complete 16 hours of paid AVID tutor training.
Participate in AVID field trips and motivational activities (when possible).
