Summary: The Arena Official job title comprises three positions that are essential to the successful operation of games and events. Each position is responsible for providing quality customer service, assisting all arena guests and customers, and ensuring all arena guests and customers have a positive experience.
School District 622 provides athletic and recreational opportunities to students through physical education and athletic programs. Our community customers extend beyond the district to private individuals, groups, youth programs, associations, surrounding schools, and districts.
Schedule Details: Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
TICKET TAKER / TICKET SELLER
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist with the supervision of arena events such as high school games, tournaments, ice shows, etc.
Treat users of the building in a polite and courteous manner
Required Skills & Abilities:
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to follow written and verbal communication
Willingness to work irregular hours
Required Qualifications:
Previous cash handling experience
Must be at least 18 years of age
High School Diploma or GED
GAME ANNOUNCER
Conduct the pre-game, in-game and post-game announcing for games and events
Conduct live scorekeeping during the game and/or notes during the event
Operates music during the events
Monitors and announces clock milestones at games
Perform other duties as assigned
Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated with effective time management skills and the ability to work independently
Highly organized and flexible; skilled in prioritizing tasks and record-keeping
Strong technology / computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheet software
Willingness to continuously learn and be open to feedback
Previous announcing experience of games and events
Substantial knowledge of the game and rules of ice hockey
Knowledge of figure skating
Basic knowledge of computers and audio-visual equipment
CLOCK OFFICIAL
Responsible for the official timekeeping of games and events
Responsible for the operation of the scoreboards /display boards during games and events
Knowledge of the game of and rules of ice hockey
Basic knowledge of scoreboard, scoreboard computer and clock
Previous clock management / scoreboard experience

As an Arena Official in our learning environment, the individual will work indoors, in and out of climate controlled environments. The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. The job is performed under temperature extremes and under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness. Assist with arena events such as high school hockey games, tournaments, ice shows, open skate, etc.
Set-up or tear-down equipment and furniture for activities and events
Operate ice resurfacer
Move nets and/or shovel snow during ice resurface
Monitor refrigeration equipment and notifies others of issues
Perform various custodial duties, such as cleaning restrooms and locker rooms, sweeping and washing floors, and hauling trash to maintain safe and clean facilities, when custodial services is not available
Assist with general building repairs and equipment maintenance
Operate security system by either opening the arena in the morning or securing the arena at the conclusion of a shift along with ensuring the arena is secure by locking doors
Operates mechanical, electrical and ventilation equipment by turning on/off and/or setting day/night cycles
Assists in the maintenance of lawns, landscaping, concrete and blacktop surfaces, including pedestrian walkways, snow and ice removal
Maintain safe maintenance practices and adhere to safety requirements
Good verbal communication skills
Good customer service skills
Ability to accept instructions and training
Ability to work alone and with minimal supervision
Basic working knowledge of personal computers and office equipment
Basic ability to operate arena, grounds, and cleaning equipment (ice resurfacer, snow blower, weed whip, floor scrubber, etc.)
Maintains good hygiene with neat and clean appearance
Willingness to work irregular hours and have good attendance
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
18 years of age or older
High School diploma or equivalent

Required Qualifications:1. Experience in Football coaching or playing competitively2. Experience working with high school aged students3. Be available for practices and games 2:30 pm - 10:00 pm during the season4. Strong human relation skills5. Knowledge of MSHSL rules and regulations6. Strong organizational skills7. Strong communication skills8. Understands education-based athletics

Primary Responsibilities:1. Assist in organizing and overseeing the Boys Basketball program, including practices, games, and team-building activities2. North High School is seeking a dynamic and student-centered Assistant Girls Soccer Coach to assist the head coach in leading our program with an education-based and transformational coaching philosophy. 2. Competitive playing experience at the high school and/or collegiate level
