Roseville Area High School is seeking a skilled leader and student-centered Director of Athletics and Activities to lead and manage a comprehensive extracurricular program for students in grades 9–12. This role encompasses both athletic and activity programming, including clubs, assemblies, student leadership, and school spirit initiatives. The successful candidate will champion core district values of equity, inclusion, and student voice while fostering academic, social, and athletic excellence.
The Director is responsible for staffing, scheduling, budgeting, supervision, and strategic planning for a wide array of programs that promote school culture, community involvement, and student engagement. This includes collaboration with middle school leadership to ensure alignment across secondary programs and representation in local, regional, and state activities.
Provide leadership and strategic direction for all 7–12 athletic and activity programming.
Recruit, hire, and onboard varsity coaching staff and club advisors
Assign coaches/advisors to appropriate levels and support hiring of assistant coaches.
Supervise and evaluate varsity head coaches, clerical staff, and activity lead advisors (e.g., speech, music, theater).
Support professional development and host seasonal or trimester-based meetings with coaching and activity staff.
Collaborate with building administration to resolve staff performance issues and uphold program standards.
Collaborate with district leaders on communication / promotion, school board meeting requirements, and be a member of the district instructional leadership team
Oversee buildings and grounds to support, promote, and upkeep use of fields, building spaces, and events at Roseville Area High School and home sites (e.g., off campus softball field)
Coordinate and support a broad range of student opportunities, including: Student Council, Homecoming, Student-Athlete Leadership council, pep fests / assemblies, and recognition events
Counsel students to support academic, behavioral, and eligibility expectations.
Develop and administer systems for student recognition, including athletic/activity letters and awards.
Evaluate and recommend programming changes based on student interest, community needs, and participation data.
Develop and manage practice and contest schedules for all athletic teams and activities.
Coordinate facility usage and ensure proper preparation for all events.
Schedule and supervise game/event officials and activity staff.
Provide event supervision for home games, assemblies, and major school/district-wide functions.
Oversee transportation planning and logistics for all away contests and off-site events.
Create and manage annual budgets for activities and athletics; ensure equitable resource distribution across programs.
Oversee staffing allocations for advisors, coaches, and game/event workers.
Manage purchasing and inventory through BSN contracts and internal purchasing procedures.
Maintain adequate first aid, training, and safety supplies.
Oversee and maintain athletic facilities and recommend capital improvements as needed.
Administer and evaluate TCO/Training House contracts and staff coverage.

Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL)
Ensure compliance with MSHSL bylaws, district policies, and eligibility standards.
Maintain clear communication with stakeholders via websites, handbooks, and social media.
Lead public relations efforts, including coordination with media outlets for student highlights and event promotion.
Build and sustain strong partnerships with parents, families, booster clubs, and community organizations.
Work with sponsors and community partners to support program visibility and funding (fundraising, sponsorships).
Serve as an active member of the high school administrative team.
Collaborate with district leadership,and middle school Activities Director, to ensure alignment of programming.
Assist in overall building operations and support a safe, inclusive, and positive environment during lunch periods, activities, and school functions.
Required:
Valid Minnesota coaching license and demonstrated coaching experience.
Experience leading and managing athletic and/or student activity programs.
Strong leadership, supervision, and team-building skills.
Strong communication, budgeting, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse student and community populations.
Preferred:
Valid administrative license (or eligibility to obtain).
Experience working in a secondary school setting (grades 7–12).
Understanding of MSHSL regulations and experience working with external partners (e.g., BSN, TCO).
Background in event planning, contract oversight, and student leadership development.

Description: Roseville Area Schools is seeking on-call substitute afternoon custodian cleaners to cover for contract staff when they are out for sick or vacation. Substitute custodians will work with other custodial staff cleaning assigned areas, assisting with set-ups and other duties. Description: Roseville Area Schools has a vacancy for a 0.9 FTE long-term substitute (LTS) district-wide School Psychologist. In addition to conducting evaluations and directly supporting due process, the school psychologist will support positive behavioral interventions and supports, assist teams with the design of pre-referral interventions, help create behavioral support plans, and assist with the design of individualized education programs.
