The ABE teaching assistant substitute will provide assistance to the ABE teacher and adult learners in the adult ESL and GED classes at the LIncoln Community Center during the school year. The hours are 8:15 - 1 pm Monday through Thursday and Fridays from 8:30 - 11:30 am. The student population includes adult learners with diverse backgrounds. ABE enrolls students from 50 different countries speaking 29 unique languages.
Summary of Duties: Duties include taking attendance, assisting students in accessing the technology (google meet, google classroom, google docs) and assisting in the classroom small group instruction. The teaching assistant will need to feel confident and comfortable with the computer and google suite for this position.
Qualifications Required: High school diploma or equivalent and strong computer skills including knowledge/application of Google Suite.

American Indian Community Liaison and Program Specialist

A position is available for an American Indian School Community Liaison. Mankato Area Public School supports programming for Native students. We aspire to engage students in cultural activities and mentorship by providing community liaison and grant-specific programming throughout the school year and in the summer when needed. This is a grant-funded, part-time position with funding secured through AIA on an annual basis.
Job Summary: To serve as a liaison between families and the school sites to help develop and sustain a trusting and supportive relationship that will benefit students, families, and the district. Create cultural and mentorship programming for Native Mankato Area Public School students and families. The Community Liaison and Program Specialist will work closely with the AIPAC, Student Support Coordinator. This position will manage aspects of American Indian programming, including:

This position is for 6.5 hours per day with a work year of 175 days.Job Summary: The Building Technology Assistant is the first line of support for building level technical support, providing technical assistance for staff and student use of technology in the school building. This position manages the deployment, support and maintenance of our 1-to-1 environment for students and staff. The Building Technology Assistant position ensures school site technology is maintained and operates correctly. This position troubleshoots and resolves technical problems in the building.
