Description: The custodian is a support position working under the immediate supervision of the building principal. Custodians may be assigned to any job duty that the principal deems appropriate. Custodian may be assigned to special duties by the Custodial Supervisor or the Director of Plant Operations. Job Summary: 1. Keeps building and premises, including sidewalks, driveways, and play areas, neat and clean at all times. 2. Regulates heat, ventilation, and air conditioning system to provide temperature appropriate to the season and to insure economical usage of fuel, water and electricity. 3. Shovels, plows, and/or sands walks, driveways, parking areas, and steps, as appropriate 4. Checks daily to insure that all exit doors are open and all panic bolts are working properly during the hour of building occupancy. 5. Sweeps classrooms daily and dusts furniture. 6. Cleans corridors after school each day, and during the day when assigned or when their condition requires it. 7. Scrubs, hoses down, cleans and disinfects toilet, restroom floors, sanitary fixtures and drinking fountains daily. 8. Washes all windows on both the inside and outside at least twice each year and more frequently if necessary. 9. Keeps the grounds free from rubbish. 10. Performs such yard-keeping chores as grass cutting, tree trimming, and the like, as necessary, to maintain the school grounds in a safe and attractive condition. 11. Keeps all floors in a clean and attractive condition and in a good state of preservation. 12. Cleans chalkboards or whiteboards at least once a week 13. Makes such minor building repairs as he/she is capable of. 14. Report major repairs needed promptly to the principal 15. Reports immediately to the principal any damage to school property. 16. Remains on the school premises during school hours, and during non-school hours when the use of the building has been authorized and his/her attendance is required by the principal. 17. Assumes responsibility for the opening and closing of the building each school day and for determining before leaving, that all doors and windows are secured, and all lights, except those left on for safety reasons, are turned off. 18. Conducts an ongoing program of general maintenance, upkeep and repair 19. Moves furniture or equipment within buildings as required for various activities and as directed by the principal. 20. Complies with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of trash, rubbish and waste. 21. Accepts other duties as assigned by the principal. Description: The Paraprofessional is a support staff position working under the immediate supervision of the classroom teacher or other supervisor as designated by the Principal. Paraprofessionals may be assigned to any position that the principal deems appropriate.
Job Summary: 1. Conduct small group or individual classroom activities based on lesson plans developed by the teacher. 2. Assist with the supervision of students. 3. Attends to the special needs of students as required. 4. Assist with student assessment, grading work and tests, and collecting data on student progress. 5. Assist with routine record keeping including computer records and/or teacher records related to the instructional program and student progress. 6. Assist with the preparation of materials for instruction (including the copying of materials, construction of displays/bulletin boards, learning centers, and manipulative). 7. Locate, operate, and return needed equipment. 8. Assist with classroom housekeeping. 9. Assist in the ordering and inventory of classroom equipment and materials. 10. Assist with school wide supervision, such as loading /unloading of buses. 11. Assisting in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations, and Board policy. 12. Other duties as assigned by the teacher and/or principal. Qualifications:
You Must Have a Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class A or B, with P (Passenger Bus) and S (School Bus) Endorsements or have passed the
P & S Exam and are waiting to take the Skill Test & Driving Exam. Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Director of Transportation and/or Transportation Supervisor, the Transportation Bus Driver will carry out the following duties:
1. Provide for the safe, efficient and economical transportation of students.
2. Attend Professional Learning sessions as required.
3. Obey all state and local traffic rules.
4. Operate school buses in accordance with School Board and Transportation Policies.
5. Notify the Transportation Shop Foreman of any defects discovered in or on any vehicle belonging to the school system.
6. Maintain the interior of the bus in a clean and safe condition.
7. Submit to random DOT drug testing as required.
8. Supervise the Transportation Aide when assigned.
9. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the school bus and its special equipment.
10. Maintain orderly conduct of student passengers. Report unsafe acts or conditions.
11. Conduct emergency evacuation drills as required by the local school system.
12. Communicate effectively and professionally with school staff and public.
13. Complete legible, accurate and required reports in the prescribed manner and on a timely basis.
14. Maintain routes and schedules as planned by the school board personnel.
15. Report any hazards along the existing route to the appropriate school official.
16. Performs other duties as assigned.
• Must pass an annual physical examination and drug screen by a licensed Doctor of Medicine prior to the beginning of the school year and as often thereafter as the board of education may deem advisable.

Under the supervision of the Director of School Nutrition, the Nutrition Program Manager will carry out the following duties:
1. Manage the program in accordance with federal, state and local requirements.
2. Cooperate with the principal, director, and faculty in planning, developing and utilizing the school food and nutrition program and a laboratory to provide learning experiences for students.
3. Work with director as needed to plan and evaluate menus as required for reimbursement, which incorporate time saving production techniques, effective merchandising and nutrition education activities.
4. Utilize input from students, staff and others, food acceptance, plate waste surveys, and taste tests to make changes/choices of food items purchased, prepared and served.
5. Involve students, staff, and community in school food service activities.
6. Maintain a file of standardized recipes; instruct school nutrition assistants in their use and insist that specified recipes be followed.
7. Use Food Buying Guide for Child Nutrition Programs for purchasing food.
8. For each recipe, order food items to meet portion sizes, servings per unit and expected production.
9. Make recommendations to change menus, recipes to meet Dietary Guidelines for Americans.
10. Plan menu themes for special occasions. Look for new serving techniques that will appeal to customers.
11. Order or purchase food, non-food items and equipment wisely, and upon delivery, check against order and invoice for quality, quantity and accurate weight as specified on the bid.
12. Insure that all foods are properly received, stored and rotated in use, preventing waste and spoilage. (FIFO-first in first out)
13. Monitor meal cost to maintain a financially sound program.
14. Maintain accurate records and controls on financial data, personnel, inventories, operational reports and records and the purchasing of food, supplies and equipment.
15. Maintain required system of accountability. Submit reports on schedule.
16. Insure that standards of health, safety and cleanliness are maintained in the kitchen and that employees personally conform to the health and safety directives of the Georgia School and Community Nutrition Program. Observe worker's health to protect the public against disease.

19. Complete, review and file all HACCP logs and forms for each month.
20. Review, support and implement Lamar County Wellness Plan.
21. One on one training of all employees in all aspects of food prep, clean-up, and food service.
22. Ability and willingness to perform any and all duties necessary for food preparation andservice in the event employees are absent and no substitute is available.
23. Report all accidents immediately and complete all forms as required.
24. Recruit and recommend for employment lunchroom personnel. Follow district guidelines for criminal checks and hiring procedures. Provide new employee training according to state guidelines and instruct substitutes in procedures and use of equipment.
25. Supervise maintenance of time sheets/cards for each employee, noting absences, tardiness, extra time approved.

SUBSITUTE SCHOOL NUTRITION POSITION
Description: The SNP assistant works under the supervision of the School Nutrition Program Manager in the school assigned. Job Summary: 1. Follow oral or written instructions as required. 2. Prepares nutritious acceptable food to provide a pattern for healthy eating, improve student health, provide energy for optimal learning and increase student participation in school nutrition.
Under the supervision of the Manager the Lead Nutrition Assistant will carry out the following duties:
1. Follow standardized recipes; instruct school nutrition assistants in their use and ensure that specified recipes be followed.
