The Lamar County School System is seeking a Head Strength and Conditioning Coach responsible for the overall operation of the strength and conditioning training of all student for the 2019-2020 School Year. The Strength and Conditioning Coach is responsible for managing all of the primary duties listed below: • Design and develop a year round strength and conditioning program for all athletes. • Design and ensure valid and reliable testing and monitoring of student-athletes. • Establish and maintain a safe and productive weight room. • Hold and participate in weight lifting competitions with other schools. • Work closely with athletic trainer and coaches regarding rehabilitation efforts. • Work with head coaches to improve athletic conditioning, reduce injuries, and maximize performance in and out of season. Starting Salary: $13/hr Eligible for Health benefits $25k Life insurance policy Description: The custodian is a support position working under the immediate supervision of the building principal. Custodians may be assigned to any job duty that the principal deems appropriate. Custodian may be assigned to special duties by the Custodial Supervisor or the Director of Plant Operations. Job Summary: 1. Keeps building and premises, including sidewalks, driveways, and play areas, neat and clean at all times. 2. Regulates heat, ventilation, and air conditioning system to provide temperature appropriate to the season and to insure economical usage of fuel, water and electricity. 3. Shovels, plows, and/or sands walks, driveways, parking areas, and steps, as appropriate 4. Checks daily to insure that all exit doors are open and all panic bolts are working properly during the hour of building occupancy. 5. Sweeps classrooms daily and dusts furniture. 6. Cleans corridors after school each day, and during the day when assigned or when their condition requires it. 7. Scrubs, hoses down, cleans and disinfects toilet, restroom floors, sanitary fixtures and drinking fountains daily. 8. Washes all windows on both the inside and outside at least twice each year and more frequently if necessary. 9. Keeps the grounds free from rubbish. 10. Performs such yard-keeping chores as grass cutting, tree trimming, and the like, as necessary, to maintain the school grounds in a safe and attractive condition. 11. Keeps all floors in a clean and attractive condition and in a good state of preservation. 12. Cleans chalkboards or whiteboards at least once a week 13. Makes such minor building repairs as he/she is capable of. 14. Report major repairs needed promptly to the principal 15. Reports immediately to the principal any damage to school property. 16. Remains on the school premises during school hours, and during non-school hours when the use of the building has been authorized and his/her attendance is required by the principal. 17. Assumes responsibility for the opening and closing of the building each school day and for determining before leaving, that all doors and windows are secured, and all lights, except those left on for safety reasons, are turned off. 18. Conducts an ongoing program of general maintenance, upkeep and repair 19. Moves furniture or equipment within buildings as required for various activities and as directed by the principal. 20. Complies with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of trash, rubbish and waste. 21. Accepts other duties as assigned by the principal. Under the supervision of the Special Education Director and Building administrator, the Speech-Language Pathologist will carry out the following duties:
• Applies a systematic workload model to facilitate the organization of the speech-language program within the school.
• Attends meetings, such as faculty meetings, special education meetings and parent-teacher conferences.
• Schedules interventions using a variety of service delivery models, including classroom intervention, consultation/collaboration and pull-out as appropriate to meet student needs in the least restrictive environment.
• Collaborates with school personnel, such as teachers, counselors and psychologists, to best meet the needs of all students.
• Plans evidence-based interventions appropriate for individual students and groups of students.
• Maintains progress monitoring data for program planning and decision making for students.
• Submits reports which meet local and state requirements.
• Maintains current files for students receiving speech-language services.
• Perform case manager responsibilities for students receiving only speech-language services.
• Safeguards confidentiality of student records.
• Completes records for third party reimbursement accurately and in a timely manner as appropriate.
• Demonstrates knowledge of federal, state and local rules, regulations and laws.
• Conducts timely speech-language screenings and evaluations using formal and informal assessments.
• Serves on student intervention team/Individualized Education Program (IEP) team as appropriate.
• Observes students in educational environments.
• Selects appropriate assessments based on individual student needs.
• Obtains additional diagnostic information from appropriate persons and available records for speech-language purposes.
• Analyzes and interprets information to make recommendations regarding the need for speech-language services.

• Conducts professional learning for faculty and staff concerning speech and language evaluation and services.
• Exhibit rapport, understanding, enthusiasm and appropriate two-way communication with students, parents, school staff and colleagues.
Must have or be eligible for certification in Speech and Language Pathology.

You Must Have a Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class A or B, with P (Passenger Bus) and S (School Bus) Endorsements or have passed the
P & S Exam and are waiting to take the Skill Test & Driving Exam. Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Director of Transportation and/or Transportation Supervisor, the Transportation Bus Driver will carry out the following duties:
1. Provide for the safe, efficient and economical transportation of students.
2. Attend Professional Learning sessions as required.
3. Obey all state and local traffic rules.
4. Operate school buses in accordance with School Board and Transportation Policies.
5. Notify the Transportation Shop Foreman of any defects discovered in or on any vehicle belonging to the school system.
6. Maintain the interior of the bus in a clean and safe condition.
7. Submit to random DOT drug testing as required.
8. Supervise the Transportation Aide when assigned.
9. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the school bus and its special equipment.
10. Maintain orderly conduct of student passengers. Report unsafe acts or conditions.
11. Conduct emergency evacuation drills as required by the local school system.
12. Communicate effectively and professionally with school staff and public.
13. Complete legible, accurate and required reports in the prescribed manner and on a timely basis.
14. Maintain routes and schedules as planned by the school board personnel.
15. Report any hazards along the existing route to the appropriate school official.
16. Performs other duties as assigned.
• Must pass an annual physical examination and drug screen by a licensed Doctor of Medicine prior to the beginning of the school year and as often thereafter as the board of education may deem advisable.

SUBSITUTE SCHOOL NUTRITION POSITION
Description: The SNP assistant works under the supervision of the School Nutrition Program Manager in the school assigned. Job Summary: 1. Follow oral or written instructions as required. 2. Prepares nutritious acceptable food to provide a pattern for healthy eating, improve student health, provide energy for optimal learning and increase student participation in school nutrition.

Tasks to be performed by the school wide WBL Coordinator for implementation of an effective WBL program.
1. Coordinate and implement Career Development Activities and WBL placements according to the Georgia Work-Based Learning Standards and Guidelines. Provide WBL placements for students in all CTAE classes offered in the school.
2. Serve as a liaison between the school, parents, the community, business and industry, and post-secondary institutions. Work with middle schools that feed the high school, providing information to assist in career awareness and career exploration.
3. Assist in securing qualified guest speakers and resource people for the related instruction classes. Assist in planning career related field trips.
4. Prepare materials to be used in planning lessons for integrating employability skills with academic and technical skills. Conduct sessions in CTAE classes regarding employability skills. Examples of such lessons are work ethics, understanding the management/employee hierarchy, completing job applications, resume writing, interviewing skills, maintaining student portfolios, etc.
5. Communicate with employers to establish reasonable expectations for student workload. The student workload should not negatively impact the student's academic performance.
6. Work cooperatively with guidance counselors, classroom instructors, and the administrative staff to select, schedule, and award credit to students in correctly identified WBL placements. 7. Maintain teacher certification and comply with State Board Rule in reference to training and professional development requirements for a WBL Coordinator.
8. Maintain membership in professional organizations. Attend and participate in local, regional, state, and national meetings and conferences whether in- person or virtual.
9. Maintain a WBL Advisory Committee or attend advisory committee meetings of the related CTAE instructional programs to ensure that WBL is included in the business of each advisory committee. In addition, if the coordinator also serves as the YAP Coordinator, a separate Advisory Committee is required.
10. Provide bulletins, trade magazines, presentations, or other appropriate resources for use in CTAE classes.
11. To access community needs and trends, conduct community surveys, placement and follow-up studies, and job analysis studies. Convey results to all CTAE classes about job opportunities available through the WBL program 12. Assist students in acquiring appropriate and legitimate job placements, which matches the student's career goal and related course work.
13. Discuss employer evaluations with each student individually, focusing on strengths and weaknesses. Share evaluation results with related CTAE instructor when appropriate.
14. Confer with parents and other faculty members as to progress of WBL students. Meet with related instruction instructors/mentors to share feedback received from WBL students.
15. Visit prospective employers to maintain communications and/or select appropriate work training sites. Educate employers about mentoring and facilitate the employee mentoring process.
16. Develop and maintain an up-to-date occupational file of potential employers in the community based on periodic contacts with prospective employers. 17. Coordinate WBL application process. Conduct individual student interviews, discussing career interests, related course work and potential job placements.
18. Monitor the WBL program for compliance with state and federal regulations, and inform the employers of these regulations regarding training, child labor laws, safety, etc.
19. Prepare the Training Agreement and develop an Educational Training Plan (in CNET) for each student in cooperation with the employer/mentor, student, parents/guardians, and the WBL Coordinator.
20. Make regular visits to student work sites and confer with on-the-job supervisors at regular intervals to check and evaluate students for grading purposes.
21. Maintain student records in C-NET as prescribed by the Georgia Department of Education. Prepare and submit all necessary local and state reports.
22. Assist CTAE instructors with organizing and implementing activities for the related student organization (CTSO). Serve as an advocate for all CTAE Student Organizations.
23. Ensure that students in WBL have ample opportunity to explore post- secondary options.
24. Build a strong program of public relations and sponsor an employee- employer appreciation breakfast, luncheon, banquet, reception, or other suitable activity. Speak at community meetings where parents and stakeholders are present.
25. Work with school personnel as needed to provide services for students with disabilities.
26. Assist graduates in locating full-time jobs in his/her field of training or placement in a post-secondary school.
