The Assistant Soccer Coach shall have the primary responsibilities to mentor, coach and develop high school Athletes. In collaboration with key stakeholders, the Assistant Soccer Coach will foster a team environment amongst the athletic community at Loyola.
           
Job Requirements / Essential Functions:
The Assistant Soccer Coach will help with the execution of campus wide events and initiatives that align diversity, equity and inclusion with the school’s Catholic identity, mission, Ignatian Spirituality, and the school’s commitments to celebrate, educate and advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion. A successful candidate for the position should be able to collaborate, partner and communicate well with faculty, staff, students and community members.
• Emphasize the values of leadership, sportsmanship and goodness, values that lie at the core of the athletic program here at Loyola Academy.
• Consults with department heads, staff managers, and administrators to establish coordinated efforts to minimize workplace conflict; and develops resources and tools to aid Loyola Academy in fostering a culture of respect, collaboration and problem resolution.
• The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that logically relate to the position.
 
           
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
 
• Have previous successful club, high school or college coaching experience. Organized, hard-working and demonstrate a strong desire to develop young players. Coach will be focused on player development, implementing practice plans and other necessary functions of the program. Practices vary, and can be held Mon-Sat with games throughout the week and weekends.
• Ability to handle information of sensitive and confidential nature in the utmost professional manner. Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, initiative, resourcefulness, and personal accountability.
• Attention to detail and adaptability to a changing environment is extremely important as well as dependability.
• Demonstrated ability to engage others in difficult conversations and manage conflict. 
• Maintain the privacy and confidentiality of information, protect the assets of the institution, act ethically and with integrity, adhere to the administrative and operational policies of Loyola Academy and perform the duties of your position consistent with those policies and the institution’s expectations.
• Commitment to the principles of Jesuit education as outlined in Loyola Academy’s mission statement.
 
• Moderate physical activity. Requires handling equipment of average weight up to fifty (50) pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.

Qualifications
 
• The position requires a bachelor degree, one to three (1-3) plus years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Previous work at Loyola Academy is preferred.
• All coaches will be required to complete ASEP or NFHS certificate and keep up with IHSA compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, as well as knowledge and understanding of the organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures. Familiar with learning management systems (e.g., Blackbaud)] for education.
• Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours, ability to maintain a flexible work schedule that may include working nights and weekends. 
• Pre-Employment screening is required: criminal background check and drug testing.

We seek a committed, faith-filled, academically qualified leader who is able to embody and advance the mission of the school as an apostolic work of the Society of Jesus and serve as School Safety Officer. This is a 12-month, full-time, hourly staff position with benefits.

ROLE OF THE SAFETY OFFICER
Loyola Academy’s School Safety Officers are responsible for being present in the hallways and entryways and implementing best practices in ensuring the safety and security of all students, faculty, staff and property. School Safety Officers maintain a safe environment in the school building by ensuring all entrances are secured, all student-focused areas are proctored, and all areas of the building are locked.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
Security Desk Attendant/Surveillance
• Provide frontline security and direction to visitors and guests.
• Require all visitors and guests to show photo I.D., sign in, and wear visitor’s pass.
• Hold visitors with a scheduled meeting until a Loyola employee can escort them to their meeting place.
• Direct visitors to the proper location for a scheduled meeting.
• Maintain visual surveillance of internal and external property.
• Notify the Dean of Students in the event of unusual or threatening situations.

Student Behavior
Assist in supervising all areas of school property to ensure that:
• Students respect themselves and others.
• Facilities provide a safe environment for students and the adult community.
• Environment provides maximum opportunity for teaching and learning.
• Students are complying with all rules and regulations as outlined in the Student Handbook.
 
Proctor Saturday Detention
• Check in students on the day of detention.
• Monitor and supervise students during detention.
Traffic
• Maintain traffic flow into and out of Loyola Academy campus.
• Direct traffic on Laramie Ave to maintain traffic flow.
• Provide safe passage of students across Laramie Avenue.
• Provide safe passage of students from building into the parking lot.

Hallways and Lockers
• Monitor, supervise and walk through hallways to supervise students.
• Clear students from hallways when necessary.
• Check all exterior doors to guarantee they are locked.
• Walk through bathrooms and other unsupervised areas.
• Search lockers for contraband as necessary.
• Report any unsafe building conditions to Deans and/or Maintenance Dept.

Messages
• Deliver messages from the Dean's Office to students and faculty members as needed.
• Respond to radio calls from Deans to retrieve students when necessary.
• Accompany students to the Dean’s Office when requested.
• Assist in the search of student belongings when necessary.
Parking Lot
• Check cars for parking permits.
• Issue tickets when violations occur.
• Observe and monitor anomalies in the parking lot.
• Participate in searching cars when requested by Deans.
• Aid visitors in locating available parking spots.
• Monitor alternative parking lots.
Assist in Emergency Situations
• Assist with clearing and securing the building in evacuation situations.
• Directing ambulances to the proper locations when necessary.
• Notify Manager of Safety and Security or the Dean of Students in the event of threatening situations



REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelors Degree preferred, High School diploma required
• Minimum 1 year of security experience required 
• Must possess CPR/AED/First Aid certification or be able to obtain within 90 days of employment
• Commitment to the principles of Jesuit education as set forth in Loyola Academy's mission statement and the Profile of the Jesuit High School Graduate at Graduation; and 
• Demonstrated ability to engage others in difficult conversations and manage conflict
It is imperative to ensure adequate staffing for all events held on campus, especially considering the diverse range of activities that occur throughout the year, including those on weekends and after school.  As we assess the man power needs for each event, your schedule may need to be adjusted accordingly to meet these requirements.

The Mathematics Teacher’s primary role is to oversee and manage all responsibilities including but not limited to their classroom.  This includes visioning, coordination, project management, conflict resolution, budgeting, academic and curricular enrichment, and professional development.
 
The Mathematics Teacher needs to be a person who models cura personalis with the entire community – students, parents, faculty, and staff members. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in statistics instruction and a passion for engaging students in meaningful, inquiry-based learning experiences.
 
 The minimum qualifications are required:

• Ability to teach AP Statistics or equivalent college-level coursework a plus

• Strong content knowledge in statistics and data analysis.

• Experience teaching in a 1:1 iPad environment

Primary Responsibilities:
 
• Implement engaging, activity-based lessons that follow an Experience First, Formalize Later approach, helping students develop deep conceptual understanding before formalizing statistical techniques.

• Collaborate with and support honors-level math students within our Clavius Scholars academic program.

• Actively engage students in data analysis, interpretation, and the exploration of college-level statistical concepts, fostering analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
