Job Summary
The Fiscal Support Specialist performs a variety of fiscal, accounting, and clerical tasks to
support the Treasurer's Office in maintaining accurate financial records for the district. This
position ensures proper accounting of receipts, disbursements, and financial transactions in
compliance with Ohio laws, auditor standards, and board policy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
:
Maintain accurate records of all district financial transactions in accordance with
the Uniform School Accounting System (USAS).
Process purchase orders, invoices and payments to vendors, ensuring
appropriate account coding and documentation.
Assist in balancing, reconciling, and maintaining all district funds, including
General Fund, grants and student activity accounts.
Prepare bank reconciliations, monthly financial reports and board meeting
minutes
Oversee and monitor all district purchasing cards and processes
Post receipts, deposits, and journal entries into the district accounting system.
Track expenditures and verify compliance with budgetary limits and purchase
order approvals.
Assist with payroll as directed by the Treasurer.
Maintain organized fiscal files for audits, grant compliance, and record retention
schedules.
Communicate courteously and effectively with vendors, employees,
administrators and auditors.
Support the Treasurer's office with preparation of data for the five-year forecast,
budget reports and audit reviews.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and fund accounting.

9. Verify monthly mileage reports, maintain a log on each employee, and process for payment.
10. Verify professional leave reimbursement forms, obtain all related reports, receipts, agendas, verify board approval, maintain a log on each employee, and process for payment.
11. Process invoices, run reports to verify money available for payment, print checks, match appropriate documentation with the voucher and verify checks with documentation.
12. Prepare checks for mailing.
13. Maintain files for 1099 printing at calendar year-end.
14. Prepare the list of bills for the board meetings.
15. Maintain cell phone reimbursement spreadsheets for applicable employees. Obtain approval to reimburse employees as required.

Position Summary:
The Central Coordination Outreach Specialist is responsible for executing a comprehensive regional outreach plan to promote early childhood programs across multiple counties. This position focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with families, service providers, and community stakeholders to increase program awareness and participation. The role is highly community-based, with approximately 75% of work time spent directly in the field engaging with local partners, attending community events, and fostering collaboration within assigned service areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Actively engage with the community through attendance at local events, school visits, agency partnerships, and meetings with families and service providers to build strong, visible relationships throughout assigned regions.
Strategically plan, coordinate, and implement outreach efforts to promote central coordination services and strengthen partnerships. Outreach expectations include: Conducting a minimum of 5 outreach activities per month in counties designated as high-capacity, focusing on partnership maintenance and consistent communication. Conducting a minimum of 10 outreach activities per month in counties designated as low-capacity, emphasizing relationship development, education, and equitable service access in underserved areas.
Activities may include presentations, community fairs, informational sessions, stakeholder meetings, and collaboration with local agencies.
Prepare, assemble, and distribute approved marketing and promotional materials to community partners and organizations. Ensure adequate availability of outreach resources across all assigned areas.
Maintain accurate records of outreach events, activities, and community interactions. Document outcomes to support ongoing program evaluation, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts.
Work collaboratively with regional outreach coordinators to share effective strategies, enhance engagement efforts, and align outreach practices with organizational goals. Attend required meetings, training sessions, and committees as assigned.
Represent the Mahoning Valley Regional Council of Governments (MVRCOG) and the Educational Service Center of Eastern Ohio (ESCEO) with professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to excellence at all times.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in social services, sociology, public communications, or a related field preferred.
Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Ability to cultivate and sustain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, and database management systems.
Valid Ohio driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and daily access to an insured private vehicle.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for community events.

VACANCY NOTICE
BUS DRIVER
SUMMARY:
This person will be responsible for efficient and economical bus transportation for students assigned to the
driver’s bus.
DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:
1. Drive an assigned bus over a prescribed route and according to a designated schedule.
2. Keep an up-to-date list of all student passengers.
3. Make daily safety checks of the assigned bus.
4. Report all needed bus repairs, shortages, and /or replacements to the bus mechanic.
5. Maintain good student conduct on the bus at all times.
6. Be responsible for fueling the bus regularly.
7. Be certain the interior of the bus is clean.
8. Conduct at least three bus evacuation drills each year.
9. Follow the performance responsibilities of bus drivers as outlined in the Transportation Handbook.
10. Maintain a good driving record both while driving a school bus and in your own vehicle, i.e., no more
than six (6) points on the driving abstract at any one time.
11. Perform other transportation related duties as assigned by the Supervisor of Transportation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must be at least 21 years of age and in good health.
2. Evidence of a good driving record as demonstrated on the state driver’s abstract record.
3. Must pass a physical examination before taking the driver test.
4. Possess an Ohio Bus Operator’s License.
5. Possess a Columbiana County Board of Education Bus Driver Certification.
6. Satisfactorily pass a driving performance test administered by the Supervisor of
Transportation.
7. Experience as a substitute bus driver is preferred.
8. Maintain positive relationships: with staff, administrators, students, and parents.
9. A resident of the United Local School District is preferred.
10. Employment is contingent upon an approved BCI, FBI report.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
1. Length of Employment: For the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year (4 ½ hours per day)
2. Type of Contract: Limited contract for the 2025-2026 school year
3. Hours of Work: Four and one-half (4 1/2) hours per day according to an assigned schedule.
4. Salary: Hourly rate per the OAPSE Negotiated Agreement.
5. Fringe Benefits: Per the OAPSE Negotiated Agreement.
6. Probationary Period: Ninety (90) workdays.
