Job Goal: To provide leadership for learning at the classroom level.
Reports to: Building Principal/Designee
Essential Skills:
• Communications Skills: As well as the traditional communication skills of reading, speaking and writing coherently and clearly, social media communication skills and proper protocols of online engagement are essential. These might include the ability to create a short YouTube video to capture the demonstration of a process or to make a sales pitch, the ability to reach out through the internet to a wide community of people with one’s ideas, to receive and incorporate feedback, to share information appropriately, and to identify trends and ideas from elsewhere;
 
• The Ability to Learn Independently: This means taking responsibility for working out what you need to know, and where to find that knowledge. This is an ongoing process in knowledge-based work, because the knowledge base is constantly changing. it could be learning about new equipment, new ways of doing things, or learning who are the people you need to know to get the job done;
 
• Ethics and Responsibility: This is required to build trust (particularly important in informal social networks), in a world where there are many different players, and a greater degree of reliance on others to accomplish one’s own goals;
 
• Teamwork and Flexibility: This depends heavily on collaboration and the sharing of knowledge with others in related but independent organizations. Teachers need to know how to work collaboratively, virtually and at a distance, with colleagues, students and partners. Thus, the use of digital technology needs to be integrated with and evaluated through the knowledge-base of the subject area incorporating digital skills to analyze, evaluate and interpret as required.
 
• Knowledge Management: Knowledge is not only rapidly changing with new research, new developments, and rapid dissemination of ideas and practices over the internet, but the sources of information are increasing, with a great deal of variability in the reliability or validity of the information. The key skill in a knowledge-based society is knowledge management: how to find, evaluate, analyze, apply and disseminate information, within a particular context.

 STEM Qualifications and Responsibilities (not a complete list):
• Prior STEM classroom teaching experience is preferred with a commitment to STEM instruction and philosophy.
• Commitment to complete and implement STEM assigned training and professional development.
• Three years of experience in an elementary setting is preferred.
• Completion of Gifted Hours or a willingness to complete gifted hours.
• Teaching experience among K-6 age group, with instruction in STEM and Nature Education.
• Strong STEM and Literacy education experience preferred.
• Interweave STEM and nature education throughout the school year.
• Develop STEM curriculum materials and instructional strategies for elementary students as part of a grade-level team.
• Must be able to work well in a team environment through cooperation and participation.

Coaching Job Description: 
 
1. Has the ability to organize and supervise a total sports program. 
 
 2. Has previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport. (Major sports) 
 
3. The head coach must have substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport 
 
and, at the same time, must continue to examine new theories and procedures pertinent to 
 
the field. 
 
4. The head coach must serve as an appropriate role model for student athletes through 
 
his/her instructions and actions. 
 
REPORTS TO: The athletic director, who provides overall objectives and final evaluation in 
 
conjunction with the high school principals 
 
SUPERVISES: In several instances, the head coach must advise, coordinate and support a staff of 
 
high school assistant coaches and middle school coaches in conjunction with the 
 
athletic director and respective principal. 
 
JOB GOAL: To instruct athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training 
 
necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success. At the same 
 
time, the coach must instruct and demonstrate behaviors that lead to socially 
 
acceptable character development, self discipline, self confidence, and pride of 
 
accomplishment in the student athletes. To upgrade his/her knowledge and skills 
 
through coaching clinics, observations, consultation, etc. 
 
GENERAL: 1. The success of athletic programs has a strong influence on the community's 
 
image of the entire system. The public exposure is a considerable 
 
responsibility and community/parent pressure for winning performance is 
 
taxing, but must not override the objectives of good sportsmanship and good 
 
mental health. 
 
 2. The position includes other unusual aspect such as extended time, risk injury 
 
factor and due process predicaments.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

4. Established the fundamental philosophy, skills and techniques to be taught by staff. Designs 
 
conferences, clinics and staff meetings to insure staff awareness of overall program. 
 
5. Trains and informs staff, encourages professional growth by encouraging clinic attendance according

6. Delegates specific duties, supervises implementation and, at season's end, analyzes staff 
 
effectiveness and evaluates all assistants.

ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES:

scheduled facility times. Coordinates program with maintenance and school employees.

15. Gives constant attention to a student athlete's grades and conduct. 
 
16. By his/her presence at all practices games and while traveling, provides assistance, guidance and

18. Initiates programs and policies concerning injuries, medical attention and emergencies.

JOB OBJECTIVE(S):

DUTIES/PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
1. Obey all traffic laws (State and Local).
2. Observe all mandatory safety laws and regulations for school buses.
3. Maintain discipline while students are on the bus.
4. Report any discipline problems to the proper authority on the district conduct report form.
5. Keep assigned bus clean and fueled.
6. Maintain assigned schedule unless changed by the Supervisor of Transportation.
7. Check bus before each trip for mechanical defects as outlined by Ohio Revised Code Section 3301-83-11, Section (B).
8. Notify the proper authority (Supervisor of Transportation) in case of mechanical failure or unusual delay.
9. Discharge students only at authorized stops.
10. Exercise responsible leadership when on out-of-district school trips by working with teachers and chaperones assigned to bus.
11. Transport only authorized students and/or adults.
12. Report all accidents and complete required reports.
13. Enforce all school bus regulations as to safe riding practices.
14. Follow established procedures in the event of a medical emergency.
15. Abide by the Mansfield City Board of Education policies and regulations.
16. Perform other reasonably related duties as may be assigned by the Transportation Supervisor.

Position Purpose
Under the general supervision of the Transportation Supervisor, to ensure the safe transportation of students, staff, and others to and from school, residential neighborhoods, and field trips.

Essential Functions:
• Safely drives a school bus on days when school is in session over designated routes in accordance with time schedules, loading and unloading students at designated locations.

• Ensures that a communication device is in proper working order before each trip.
• Reports all mechanical deficiencies, traffic violations, or accidents, promptly.
• Arranges for and ensures completion of routine maintenance of bus (e.g., oil change); transporting the bus to and from maintenance and/or repair facilities.
• Maintains order and discipline in an effective and courteous manner among students being transported in accordance with district policies and procedures; reports any incidents involving student discipline.
• Observes and tracks route timing, such as total time en-route, time between stops, loading and unloading times or any other requested information for the purpose of establishing route efficiency, as requested.
• Maintains and submits records and reports as required.
• Follows procedures to ensure that no child is left alone on bus without adult supervision at any time, and that all children have departed bus at the end of all bus routes (morning, evening and during field trips or other special trips).
• Inventories bus emergency and first aid supplies and equipment; reports needs to the Director.
• Prepares aides and children for bus drills and ensures bus evacuation drills are held as required.
• In case of accidents/emergencies, evacuates children according to written and practiced procedures, ensures that medical emergency procedures are followed; completes a written report as required.
• Attends and participates in trainings, and other continuing education, career and professional development opportunities.
 Qualifications Profile
