This position is vital in supporting students ages 12–18 who require specialized instruction in an alternative setting. You will be responsible for teaching a core subject and elective, support the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), creating a supportive classroom environment, and fostering academic and social growth.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The primary roles of the Building and Grounds Technician is to ensure the cleanliness, safety and compliance, and functionality of our school buildings. The role combines routine custodial duties with general maintenance responsibilities, including performing small to medium-sized repairs, support with snow removal and lawncare maintenance, and coordinating any necessary building inspections or larger building projects, while communicating with any contractors and/or building owners. The Building and Grounds Technician is responsible for maintaining a professional level of cleanliness and safety within our educational facilities. This role involves sanitizing learning spaces, performing routine facility maintenance, and assisting with day-to-day operations. Because we serve students with diverse and unique needs, the Building and Grounds Technician is an essential partner in creating a therapeutic, welcoming, and high-functioning environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: No prior experience is required, though knowledge of modern cleaning methods and equipment is preferred.
Licensure: Requires a valid MN driver's license.
Additional Requirement: May be required after hire to obtain a Special Class Boiler License.
Abilities: Must be able to follow safety procedures, lift up to 25 lbs. frequently, and maintain prompt and regular attendance.
