  •   STATUS:     Full-time, seasonal
    LOCATION: Lost Valley Visitor Center outside of Ringwood
    WAGE:  $12.00 per hour 

    Spend the summer expanding your trades work/ maintenance knowledge and skills with hands on experience working with our Facility Maintenance Department. Join this department for the season as a Facilities Seasonal Maintenance Worker assisting our Maintenance Workers in the daily upkeep of District facilities throughout the County.  Job duties include, but not limited to:
    • Perform landscape maintenance including weeding and pruning.
    • Driving to District facilities and sites to perform light maintenance (painting, light carpentry, etc.) work including assisting the Facilities Maintenance staff with building maintenance and construction.
    • Facility custodial work throughout the Lost Valley Visitor Center in Glacial Park.
    • Driving a District vehicle and trailer to park sites to mow grass using push and zero turn/ front mount mowers and weed whipping.
    What are we looking for? Preferably, someone with course work in trades related field or some experience in maintenance/ trades work or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Also, would prefer previous experience in landscape or park maintenance work that includes the use of power tools and maintenance equipment, or have the willingness to learn such tools and equipment if not already familiar with it.
    For your safety and those around you, we require applicants to have a current, valid driver’s license and complete a pre-employment drug screening due to driving being essential to the job as well as be able to regularly lift up to 50lbs. Additionally, you must be at least 18 years of age at the time of your start date.
