    Job Summary (2-3 sentences describing job purpose):  Oversees surplus equipment and furniture and the movement of those assets, and other assets, throughout the district.  Oversees the mail services operation.  Supervises the work of 33 people.
    Reports to:  DIRECTOR OF CENTRAL SERVICES

    Primary Job Duties/ResponsibilitiesList, in the order of importance or time spent, the essential duties/tasks performed by the position.  This is not an exhaustive list and employees may be assigned additional duties by management as required.  
    Job Duty/Resp. 1:  Responsible for the logistical planning and execution of school moves.
    Job Duty/Resp. 2:  Responsible for the logistical planning and routing of trucks and delivery schedules.
    Job Duty/Resp. 3:  Develops policies and procedures to insure efficient warehouse and distribution operations.
    Job Duty/Resp. 4:  Maintains open communications with schools and departments throughout the district.
    Job Duty/Resp. 5:  Manages and controls inventory assets.
    Job Duty/Resp. 6:  Manages a team of 33 employees at the Foster Creighton warehouse.
    Job Duty/Resp. 7:  Manages temporary employees at various times, with up to 40 part-time employees.
    Job Duty/Resp. 8:  Coordinates the removal of MNPS assets that will be disposed of through Metro government.

    Education and Experience Requirements

    Experience Requirements: 10 years of warehouse experience is required; experience in inventory management is required; experience in logistics and supply chain management is required; experience managing employees and leading teams is required.
    Licenses, Certifications or Registrations Required: Valid Tennessee Driver’s License is required; Industry certifications are desired, but not required.

    Level 5: Requires management level responsibility for application and interpretation of the policies regarding the provision of continuous enforcement of the laws and standards of public health and safety.

    Text Box: Kronos Set Up Data:  Meal Deduction  Most Bransford office and district level employee have a meal deduction.  They are scheduled 8.5 hours per day and get an hour lunch. Itinerants and retirees get a 30 minute lunch period and therefore do not have a meal deduction.     Level 6: Requires medium work involving standing or walking all of the time, exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force on a regular basis, and considerable dexterity and skill in operating machinery and tools.
