Coordinates and directs the activities of building Food and Nutrition Services staff in the daily operation of the School Nutrition Programs. Responsible for the preparation of menu items for the customer service line, satellites and special events, as needed. Responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality through the use of standardized recipes, accurate portion controls, preparation of sufficient quantities to meet survice needs and timing preparation to meet serving schedule. Maintains food service facilities, equipment and personnel in compliance ot federal, state, local and departmental requirements that ensure the health, safety and nutritional needs of the customers served. Completes food and supply requisitions plus checks in food and supply deliveries.
Job Summary: Supports students through the customer service line, seating in the cafeteria and dismissal from the lunchroom tables as they complete their meal. Assists with the maintenance of the cafeteria area in order to comply with federal, state, local and department requirements. Communicates promptly and works harmoniously with the students and staff.
Education and Experience: High School Diploma and/or equivalent; and/or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the above described duties.

Assists in preparation and serving of nutritious meals to customers. Handles the point of sale operation for the Breakfast and Lunch customer service lines. Assists with the cleaning and maintenance of the food service facility and equipment. Communicates promptly and works harmoniously with the Head Cook, FNS Staff, Students and District Staff.
Position requires repeated bending, stooping and constant repetitive use of fingers, hands and wrists in moving pans horizontally.
Position requires lifting of pans and food containers which will weigh up to 50 pounds (includes food items) and may have to be lifted in a range over shoulder height to below the knee level.
Position requires raising objects from a lower to higher position or moving and balancing objects horizontally from position-to-position.
Position involves extended periods of time on feet.
Position requires moderate use of the upper extremities and back muscles.
Position requires moderate effort on a consistent basis as in lifting, pulling or pushing unwieldy loads (heavy, bulky, awkward, more than 40 pounds).
Complete range of motion is required.

Experience working in a food service industry preferred.
Job Summary: Maintains safety on all grounds, buildings and equipment as needed to provide a safe and clean environment. Provides coordination of evening security and event needs, and direction of evening custodial staff.
Education and Experience: High School Diploma and/or equivalent and at least two years experience in a similar position; or any satisfactorycombination of education/experience/training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the above described duties. Boiler license appropriate to the building and/or the ability to obtain licensure within one year (Second Class).
Preferred Qualifications: Up to one year of specialized or technical training which relates to this position. Experience in boiler operations. Experience with snow removal and like equipment.

MN Reading Corp Elementary Literacy Tutors
Asp, Ellen Hopkins, SGR Schools, Dorothy Dodds
Literacy tutors work one-on-one with K-3 children who need help learning to read. These AmeriCorps members are trained in research-based strategies and use prescribed literacy interventions and conduct weekly progress monitoring to ensure the student is on track to read at grade level by the end of third grade. They commit to daytime hours and are placed in elementary schools, where they build their professional experience and network.
