DEPARTMENT: Athletic Department
LOCATION: Fruitport Middle School
POSITION: 7th Grade Volleyball Coach
Works with and supports the head coach in leading and instructing the entire program.
Organized, professional, and committed to the policies and procedures of FMS and the MHSAA.
Maintains a focus on player development, leadership, and character.
Possesses a working knowledge of the skills and abilities required for this sport, and is capable of communicating and demonstrating what is expected to be successful.
Is capable of identifying and solving problems related to technique and tactics of the sport.
Models and supports the mission of the athletic program and the school.
Handles interactions with student athletes and adults with professionalism and integrity.
Is able to balance personal and professional duties with coaching duties.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND OR EXPERIENCE:
Successful middle school level coaching experience of at least two years.
Valid teaching certificate or a degreed program in education or coaching.
Experience in physical education, first aid, and sports medicine.
Certificate in CAP (Coaches Advancement Program) or equivalent.

DEPARTMENT: Early Childhood Center
LOCATION: Fruitport Community Schools - Elementary Setting
POSITION: School-Age Care Assistant
High School Diploma or equivalent
An ability to work comfortably and effectively with school-age children
Possession of effective oral and written communication skills
Experience in an early childhood setting working with school-age children
CPR & First Aid -- or willingness to obtain
Reports to lead teacher when arriving on-site for instructions.
Serve snacks and encourage children to help with clean-up
Supervise and interact with children on playground, gym, classroom and computer lab
Assist with preparation and clean up (children and classroom)
Model appropriate behavior, support, and involvement during activities with children
Assist the lead teacher with record keeping
Participate in any team or staff meetings and/or trainings as required (16 hours per year)
Perform other duties as assigned by the program director or lead teacher
Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, between 3:15 PM – 4:45 PM or/and M, Tu, Th & F 7:15-8:30/ Wednesday 7:15-10:00
Must be available to work summer break, half-days, in emergency situations, and when deemed necessary by the program director.
Hourly Wage: $10.00/hour (no benefits)

REPORTS TO: Principal
QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Understanding of elementary age children

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: 1. To help establish and maintain a calm and pleasant
atmosphere in the cafeteria.
2. Through meaningful playground leadership, enable students to
enjoy group interaction and physical exercise which are an
integral part of the district educational program.
RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Organize students into orderly lines for acquiring food and
see that they go to assigned tables.
2. Encourage students to begin eating as soon as they are seated.
3. Assist younger students with use of utensils when needed
(especially first graders in September as this is their first
4. Help students develop and observe proper dining habits and
5. Circulate among the tables so as to be available to help children
and to take the initiative and responsibility to resolve problems
6. Wipe off lunchroom tables, benches, and seats as needed
during the lunch periods. A more thorough washing to the
above tops, edges, underside, etc., as needed after the last
lunch period before storing.
7. Clean up any spilled food or drink in the lunchroom at the
time of the mishap.
8. If the need arises, you may be called upon by the kitchen
personnel to assist in serving. (This would be the only time
you would be in the kitchen).
9. Supervise students for orderly disposal of food wastes,
trays, and utensils.
10. Supervise students for orderly dismissal from the lunchroom.
11. Direct movement of groups to and from playground.
12. Supervise students at playtime and maintain a harmonious
atmosphere on the playground.
13. Encourage group games and activities.
14. Report any malfunction and broken playground equipment
to the school office.
15. Report serious infractions of disciplinary rules by students
as so directed by the school principal.
16. Take part in in-service training programs.
17. Other duties as assigned.
EVALUATION: Performance for this position will be evaluated by the supervisor.
