    Job Summary
    Responsible for the management and growth of the District's on-line, early college and home school programming.
    Reports To

    • MA Degree or Equivalent
    • Four – ten years of related experience and/or training,or a combination of education and experience.
    • Previous experience in contract negotiation and contract administration with a solid knowledge base of administration
    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of supervisors, employees, vendors and the general public
    • Have the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability/ statistical inference, and fundamentals of plan and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
    General Responsibilities
    • Develops and grows home school programming to students currently receiving services from other providers.
    • Acts as the District liaison for families wishing to enroll in an on-line, early college or home school program.
    • Evaluates online curriculum service providers to ensure providers meet Clarkston Community School standards.
    • Participates in Pupil Accounting Audits and provides auditors with requested data.
    • Manages on-line mentors to ensure they are meeting pupil accounting requirements.
    • Oversees billing for early college programing.
    • Works closely with Clarkston High School Administration and Counseling Department regarding scheduling and researching student graduation requirements enrolled in early college programs.
    • Attends state and local conferences related to shared time, pupil accounting and special programs.
    • Serves as a District liaison to post-secondary institutions that provide programming to Clarkston Community Schools Students.
    • Develops relationships with all shared service school administrators to be able to provide support in absence of the Shared Service Director. 
    • Attends all necessary district meetings and trainings to stay abreast of current trends and needs that pertain to online learning and early college.
    • Works closely with the Pupil Accounting Coordinator to ensure accurate recording of student data for state reporting.
    • Oversees in-district use of PLATO, Fast For Word and Exact Path and other on-line programing, including negotiating new contracts for the use of these programs.
    • Calculate FTEs for students receiving home school or on-line services.
    • Maintains relationships with appropriate state and legislative groups to stay informed on new rules, upcoming legislation, and current issues regarding on-line learning and dual enrollment/early college
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Salary commensurate with experience
