Responsibilities

The Elementary PLC Coach will provide support to elementary PLC teams in answering the four critical questions of a professional learning community with the intended purpose of building each team’s collaborative capacity and improving student outcomes.
The PLC Coach will be directly responsible to the building principal and Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Support PLC teams in:
 
• Prioritizing and unwrapping learning standards;
• Aligning pacing guides and scope and sequence documents;
• Identifying proficiency for learning standards and developing reliable and valid common assessments to measure proficiency;
• Analyzing common formative and summative student assessment data;
• Identifying students in need of targeted intervention and enrichment;
• Implementing research-based instructional practices to differentiate instruction based on individual student needs.
• Meet regularly with building administration, school improvement teams and district leadership teams to share progress of and suggest best practices for professional learning communities.
• Provide job-embedded professional development and support to teachers, student support personnel and school-based teams to facilitate implementation of instructional best practices and effective collaboration.
• Prepare and present regularly scheduled data reports detailing student achievement and growth to school and district administration.
• Coordinate, support and sustain partnerships with families on supporting student learning at home.
• Keep in confidence all personal, student or personnel records and information.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the building principal.

Qualifications:

Extensive Knowledge/Experience in Mathematics preferred.
Previous experience working in a professional learning community preferred.

Building Janitor
 
Qualifications:
 
• High school diploma or GED certificate with ability to demonstrate written and oral communication skills, basic mathematical skills and problem-solving skills.
• Experienced in physical plant/building sanitation.

• Check area for any burnt out lights, leaks or unsafe conditions, notifying building custodian of any found.
• Clean and sanitize bathroom toilets, urinals, wash basins, stall partitions and floors.
• Empty bathroom garbage, fill soap containers, towel and tissue dispensers.
• Check bathroom area for any leaks or unsafe conditions, notifying building custodian of any found.
• Washing of window and door glass.
• Stripping and burnishing of floors.
• Assist with set-ups and break down of equipment for performances.
• Assist with any after-hours meetings or approved activities in your building.
• Assist other building personnel with their cleaning of area, when necessary or instructed to do so.
• Other duties as assigned
Effective Date and Work Hours:
 
Immediate start date. 
Positions available:  2nd shift - 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Salary:

Beginning salary $16.25/hour; medical benefits; paid vacation and sick days.
