Title: Ukrainian Bilingual
Reports to: Principal
Job Summary:
The elementary teacher provides leadership and support in the following areas:
Instruction and intervention in all content areas, social emotional learning.
Qualifications:
1. Valid Illinois State Board of Education Professional Educator’s License
2. ESL Endorsement
3. Ukrainian Bilingual Approval/or Conditionally Approved
4. Willingness to sponsor and/or participate in extra-curricular activities.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
Instruct students in English/Language Arts/Math/Science/Social Studies and other related school subject areas (such as social emotional learning) using best practice ESL/bilingual strategies.
Analyze student data to inform instructional goals.
Plan and collaborate with teachers.
Aligns instruction and practice to the WIDA Standards.
Integrate technology into lessons.
Confers with students, parents, and school personnel to resolve student problems.
Chair of the Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee.
Communicates student progress with parents.
Responsible for eligibility screening and state testing.
Collaborates with administration on data input for the student information system.
Other duties as assigned.

Perform the physical tasks necessary to monitor, supervise and physically assist students throughout the school day during a variety of instructional activities. Must be able to function effectively in an active, loud environment. Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment as circumstances require.
