Perry Township Innovation and Entrepreneurship at University of Indianapolis is ready to hire four dynamic individuals driven to teach in a new program. Special Education Assistant CIPPosition PurposeWorking under the supervision of teachers and are a viable part of the total instructional program. The services performed by the teacher aide/assistant include instructional, clerical, supervisory, and behavior management duties. The overall role of the teacher aide/assistant is to provide support services to the classroom teacher. Aides/assistants are expected to implement programming as directed by classroom teachers, administrators, or the Case Conference Committee. Bus Driver Sub In Training Position Purpose: Participate in CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) training with the assistance of the transportation training department to become officially licensed as a CDL holder (by passing the written and physical portions of the exam) and be able to drive a full-sized school bus with the district. During non-training time periods, assist the driver as a bus monitor on a Special Needs route or Gen Ed route to carry out their responsibilities with the respect to transporting students safely to and from school. $16.80 per hour Work Schedule: The sub driver training schedule is Monday thru Friday, 9:30 am to 12 noon. The employee has the option to work additional hours as a bus monitor in the afternoons (Monday – Friday) from 1:00pm to 3:30pm (end time could be extended if the routes run late). Average time to complete the required training and obtain full licensure is 6-8 weeks pending no extenuating circumstances with DOT physical or Clearinghouse checks. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
