INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANT, CTE

SUMMARY:
Under the leadership of the teacher or Instructional Leader, the Instructional Assistant, CTE works directly with enrolled CTE students to aid in daily educational learning and teaching. Supports and assists in preparing instructional materials and implementing lesson plans. Monitors students during lessons and provides additional individual or small group instruction as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Training, and Experience Guidelines:
High School diploma or GED equivalent; AND some previous classroom experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
License and Certification Requirements:
Possess an active Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card or obtain one within the first 90 workdays of employment.

CAFETERIA WORKER (Part-Time)
GRADE 1 HOURLY RATE: $16.25
The Cafeteria Worker (part-time) assists with preparing food for breakfast and lunches and cleaning up after food services.
Some previous food industry experience preferred.
Must possess a valid Maricopa County Food Handler’s Card at the time of hire. Must possess a valid Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP Fingerprint clearance card within 90 days of employment.
Work is performed in a commercial kitchen environment and requires exposure to hot and cold temperatures, potentially dangerous equipment, and hazardous chemicals. May be required to lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds.

The Bus Assistant works with the Bus Driver to monitor students to ensure the students’ safety and keep the bus clean. Operates a wheelchair lift and assists students with entering and exiting the school bus.
High School diploma or GED equivalent; AND six months of experience assisting adults or children with special needs preferred; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Possess an active Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card or obtain one within the first 90 workdays of employment.
Must possess current Red Cross first aid certificate and CPR certificate at time of employment or obtain within first 10 days of employment and maintain on a current status. Must possess a valid Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP Fingerprint clearance card within 90 days of employment.
Work is performed on a school bus along designated routes. Work requires climbing up and down bus stairs, bending, kneeling, crouching or stooping, pulling, and may require lifting up to 100 pounds. May be exposed to hot and cold temperatures, hazardous chemicals, and infectious diseases.

The Bus Driver Trainee position participates in the Driver Training Program for the purpose/s of training for transporting of students over scheduled routes and/or to/from special excursions; learning to ensure vehicle is in safe operating condition; and learning to ensure safety of students during transport, loading and unloading from buses /vehicles.
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Ability to obtain CDL and DPS certification within 90 days of employment. Ability to obtain a valid IV Fingerprint Clearance Card within 45 work days of initial start date. Obtain certification in First Aid/CPR.
