    Salary: This is full-time twelve month position at 232 days within the fiscal year. The annual salary is a minimum of $68,437.00.

    Duration: 5 Years (dependent of funding)

    Primary Purpose: Provide support and coordination for large OER statewide initiative that includes procuring, editing, and reviewing instructional materials that will reside in the public domain for use by Texas educators

    Minimum Certification/Education:
    • Texas teacher certification (required)
    • Master's degree in curriculum, instruction, and assessment or a related content field (preferred)
    • Bachelor’s degree (required)
    • Education and experience may be substituted

    • Five years of classroom teaching experience (required)
    • Education administration experience (preferred)
    • Experience with project management (preferred)

    Special Knowledge/Skills:
    • Comprehensive knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment trends and application
    • Comprehensive knowledge of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS)
    • Strong command of the English language including conventions of grammar and mechanics
    • Ability to collaborate with multiple teams of contractors for the purposes of troubleshooting challenges and resolving discrepancies as well as clarifying workflows and tasks
    • Attention to detail and timeliness of task completion with high quality control, time management and organization skills
    • Strong organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work productively in a virtual environment to communicate with contractor teams
    • Ability to create and lead training on work processes, team calibration, and communication processes
    • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, supervisors, direct reports, contractors, ESC staff, and Texas Education Agency (TEA) staff
    • Ability to communicate knowledgeably and effectively with OER project director and TEA staff about processes, timelines, and detailed work of contractor teams
    • Ability to research in order to anticipate future needs of initiative(s)
    • Knowledge of project management with a proven track record of success (preferred)
    • Knowledge of budgeting with a proven track record of fiscal responsibility (preferred)

    • Serve as a representative of ESC Region 13, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration and discretion in all interactions with other members of the educational community and with the public
    • Provide project management and administrative support in collaboration with director(s) and coordinator(s)
    • Oversees the review and editing process for PK-12 educational resources in multiple content areas and across multiple team
    • Support all processes related procuring, editing, and reviewing instructional materials, including communication, timelines, and approvals
    • Serve as liaison between project staff, content reviewers, content editors, and associated contractors
    • Manage multiple ongoing contracts for the purpose of procuring, editing, and reviewing instructional materials
    • Provide training to review and editing teams, including curation, review, scoring, documentation, and access to materials
    • Review all recommended materials for alignment, accuracy, and completeness
    • Support project budget and submission of all TEA-required project reports in collaboration with project coordinator and director(s)
    • Provide research and inquiry on instructional best practices related to OER project
    • Perform other duties as assigned

We are a 7am-6pm organization with an 8 hour work day within that timeframe, but we honor a healthy work-life balance. As workload fluctuates, you have the opportunity to take flex and telecommute days to accommodate that balance.
