Instructional Assistant 2024-2025 School Year
The Instructional Assistant is an additional adult that serves to provide one to one support to a child who requires assistance throughout the day. The instructional assistant is a non-certified instructional staff member who assists students under the guidance of the classroom teacher.
Qualifications and Certifications
Minimum of 60 earned college credits.
Previous experience supporting students in an academic setting
Firm belief in the ability of all students to achieve at high levels, and high expectations for low-income children to become college ready and attend selective universities

Job Requirements
New Jersey Teacher Certification or Certificate of Eligibility in applicable specialization.
Excellent written and verbal skills
Experience teaching within an urban environment is preferred, but not required.

Self-reflective and an analytical problem solver.
