Full-Time Elementary Intermediate Grade - 6th Grade Teacher for 2026-2027 School Year
Rush City Schools has an intermediate (grade 6) teaching position at C.E. Jacobson Elementary for the 2026-2027 school year. This teacher will be responsible for teaching all ELA to grade 6 students.

Special Education Teacher - Grades 7-12
Location: Rush City High School
Rush City High School is seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 2026-27 School Year. This is a 1.0 FTE position focused on supporting students in grades 7-12. Candidates with experience in Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) will be given preference. Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) Special Education licensure is required. We welcome applicants with any Special Education licensure, with strong consideration given to those with DCD, SLD, EBD, or ABS licensure. While experience is preferred, it is not required.

Custodian II - SubstituteRush City Schools is in search of a part-time Custodian II.This position is an as needed position with no guarantee of hours. Cleaning duties include mopping, sweeping, carpet extracting, vacuuming, dusting, washing walls, windows, painting, sanitary fixtures, etc. Must be able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 pounds. Groundskeeper and Facility Maintenance
Rush City Schools has an immediate need for an experienced, full-time grounds and maintenance position. The ideal candidate must have the ability to maintain all grounds owned by the school district. This includes the bus garage, recreational center, elementary school, high school, and all athletic fields.
Typical hours are 8:00-4:30 M-F, with the flexibility to work adjusted hours and days based on the needs of the grounds, buildings or weather.

Long-Term Short-Call Substitute Teachers: Rush City Schools is currently seeking a daily substitute teacher for the remainder of the 25-26 school year. The LTS will typically support the elementary school with some support at the High School as needed. The ideal candidate will be flexible in covering all grade levels K-12 and possess the ability to work with all students. These individuals will report for duty on all remaining student contact days from approximately 7:45 am - 3:15 pm daily. Compensation will align with the current Teacher Master Agreement at approximately $259 per day.Successful candidates will hold a valid Minnesota teaching license or a short-call substitute license. Short-call substitute licenses can be obtained through the Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board typically require a bachelor's degree; however, other avenues to obtain licensure may apply to some candidates.
