1. Follows policies of the Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools and the Department for Exceptional Children. 2. Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of state and federal guidelines as they relate to placement. 3. Upholds the highest standards of confidentiality. 4. Attends IEP meetings as needed for children identified as autistic. 5. Provides support to teachers/paraprofessionals (both special and regular education) who work with children with autism. 6. Assists in the development of data collection systems to describe and improve behavior, track mastery of goals and objectives, and other areas as needed. 7. Communicates to the appropriate individuals the results and conclusions of any evaluations. 8. Functions as a cooperative team member with site personnel. 9. Monitors students with autism and provides assistance for those students with greatest need. 10. Works with parents and provides instruction and support. 11. Develops individual program for children with autism. 12. Will facilitate the transition of autistic children to the least restrictive environment. 13. Performs other duties as assigned.
