The Schuylkill Valley School District is currently seeking Adult Supervisors to teach Learn-to-Swim lessons, Student Aides for Learn-to-Swim lessons, and Lifeguards for all classes. The Spring program runs from April 4th – May 26th and the hours are varied depending on position: Mondays through Thursday from 5:00 p.m. - 7:15 p.m. Additional hours may be available for adult supervisors/coaches/lifeguards on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Minimum hourly rates are as follows: Student Aides - $14.00/hour Student Lifeguards - $15.00/hour Supervisors/Instructors (Adult) - $16.00/hour Qualifications:

Hours of work are approximately 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. This position is responsible for light property maintenance and grounds care, cleaning and sanitizing classrooms, lavatories, and the cafeteria; emptying trash and recycling containers; replacing supplies; using appropriate equipment and chemicals as needed; and other tasks as assigned by the custodial supervisor. Starting rate of pay is $17.47/hour - $31.49/hour depending on years of custodial experience and this is a benefit eligible position. The Schuylkill Valley School District has an anticipated vacancy for a Certified Building Substitute Teacher at the Elementary School, rate of pay is $46,303 (prorated for actual days worked), benefit option available with reduced pay.
